Looks superb, wont appeal to simulation freaks like myself

Could you elaborate on that? What exactly do you mean? The game will be too arcade like? Or too realistic, not realistic enough? I don't get it. Every F1 game so far has been impossible to control, like a real sim, I don't see how this is going to be any different.

Well, rfactor for example is a true simulation. Even alot of F1 teams use it for there in factory simulators, with there own data ofcourse. Codemasters say they are trying to make the game for all, arcade and sim fans but i think deep down we know it wont be a sim by looking at the videos. Anthony Davidson is helping make the game so all sounds good but since its a multi platform game they need to make it playable for people who play with controlpads instead of wheels.

I just may buy a wheel just for that game. So far, I've only played games like Need for Speed ProStreet, which of course can be played with a gamepad.

But if I do buy a wheel, I'd want a good one, that won't kill me at the bank. Any suggestions for a PC wheel that will do the job and is a good price? Do I need pedals too or how does that work? Buttons on the wheel? I can imagine the wheel has gear changing paddles, but beyond that I have no idea.

Can get wheels quite cheapish, just make sure its for force feedback and pedals. So you get the whole experience. Logitech wheels are good but theres quite alot of wheels out there.

Everyone raves about the G25 by Logitech. But it's way to expensive for me. Although.... I can get it at half price direct from Logitech, I forgot about that.. hmm, i'll see how much..

So pedals are a must? I can't see myself using a clutch in a game, but the gas/brake would be nice, so that G25 goes a bit overboard, it also has a 6 speed shifter, lol.

Oh, here is a totally affordable wheel, but its so cheap I'd definitely want opinions before buying. What do you think?:

lol Online mode should also feature the use of headsets. Then we can do our own commentaries or curse at those we are racing against

Ah there we go! video should work. Sorry. When I uploaded it, it was public :S

It looks awesome. The game uses the same system as GRID & DiRT. Which as exceptionally good. You can really feel the car sliding out or gripping. you can control the throttle and the break. it's very good.

They say this will be the most realistic racing game to be released.

It's a shame they don't have the 2009 cars in the final one, i'd have loved to race with the Toyota & the Brawn. Brawn especially, gorgeous car.

One thing that interests me is the online play. Although the career mode is the focus of the game... I play most of my time online... and I wonder what it will be like. Can you race with your car in career or do you choose from a selection of standard ones? Personally I would like it if you got a car randomly. Because of course the HRT wont be as good as a Red Bull... Everyone would pick the same car...

Or you could have a system where the first person to vote or press a button gets to pick their car first.. Online would be boring if everyone went with the same car.

But the weather system will be great! You can get season upgrades too, you can change the front wing angles, revs, tyre wear... all sorts. You can also get engine failures too.

Also, any good Xbox 360 wheels people have?

I have a G25, it's excellent for rFactor, but it is only compatible with PC and PS3.

I think it's the same (updated) graphics engine but not the same physics.

you never know, they have modelled the 2009 cars and there's often unlockable previous championship winning cars in F1 games.

Red Bulls new marketing strategy? For those that no longer need wings.

Hmm. The G25 is not available in Canada, only the G27, whatever that is.. These are the only three available:

Would that MOMO cheaper one do it for me?

The G27 is a new model, the next step up from the G25.

Would be nice if they used the FIA graphics like 06/CE did. Anyone know of the commentary team (if there is one)?

I have to wonder wether there will be DC so that you can play the 2010 season like the Moto Gp game? I hope so, it would be good if there was a cross over like with Alonso. You play 2009 as Alonso in the Renault then jump to 2010 in the Ferrari and that would be quit exciting :D
