I hate it, and I hate that it's popular. ITV is a crummy, second-rate broadcaster and the X-Factor (And Britain's Got Talent too) represents the worst kind of TV programming. It's lazy, cheap and exploitative.

Agreed, and even that new version of the Krypton Factor they made at the start of the year was a shadow of its former self, it didn't even have Gordon Burns and his famous wig! They should bring back proper TV programming like... Catchphrase!

The reason SCD is less deplorable than The X-Factor or Britain's Got Talent is that it rarely if ever launches people into recording careers on the back of some sob story or auto-tuned pseudo-talent.

His record is a cover of a MILEY CYRUS song! I mean...How and why would you think to do a cover of a Miley Cyrus song, Simon? She's a kid! THe song's like a year old and it's not exactly epic now is it? It's teen pop for crissake.
