I quite like it actually, especially the back. It's like the bar steward love child of an R8/new style Civic/GT-R, but the price... :yikes: 350k is what the Enzo cost on release!

It's good to see them stopping the collectors from taking them all off the roads for the sole purpose of making money too - i despise that, cars are meant to be driven.

So apparently an article in the NYT has mentioned that the US allocation has been increased but the production is still set at 500. Frankly the $375K entry fee is rather pretentious but man if I could afford one it would look sooo sweet yet rather odd next to my F40 and 288 GTO. :hehe:

It just looks so overdesigned to me, unessesary features and lines and just all wrong. I'm :yikes: that it's being advertised so heavily here lately. I've seen the ad at least 10 times in the last few days. Well I can say I've fast forwarded through the ads.

The problem I have it that after paying 375k, you're still driving a Lexus, whereas for 375k of any other car you could be driving a piece of history or a READ headturner type of vehicle. This thing would simply get confused for any other number of Japanese imports even thought he quality of the build seems to be insanely well crafted.

Save up and get a Bugatti Veyron!

Every Lexus since their inception has been over designed and that is something that has set them apart from other manufacturers don't you think?

I'm quite certain the features and lines all play an important and essential part in the car albeit how small.

I watch everyone just to hear that engine.

The problem I have is that after paying 375k, you're still driving a Lexus.

Hell I drove a Lexus SC300 for awhile and it was fantastic.

whereas for 375k of any other car you could be driving a piece of history or a REALL headturner type of vehicle.

Imo the LFA is a 'piece of history' and a 'head turner'.

This thing would simply get confused for any other number of Japanese imports even thought he quality of the build seems to be insanely well crafted.

I seriously doubt the LFA will be confused for 'any other number of Japanese imports'. The quality of the build is Lexus's cornerstone  .

Why not just add an LFA to the collection??

It's a difference of opinion that makes a horse race. it's like looking at art, or a beautiful woman, or a bottle of wine the only thing that's important is what you think. Although I would never buy one myself even if I had the resources to, I genuinely hope that you can get a hold of one for yourself at some point in your future. So a toat to you owning one. :drink:

Thankfully all of the cars I would want to own I can get for under 60k! (including aftermarket mods)

Better hope they have sorted the brakes with this one... :P

They did... why do you think it's so expensive?

Yeah, could be a bit pricey to implement...

Toyota's Top Test Driver Killed in Lexus 'Supercar'
He dies testing prototype of car he helped develop
By Nick McMaster| Posted Jun 23, 10 4:54 PM CDT| Share
(Newser) – Toyota's chief test driver has been killed driving a prototype of a Lexus LFA "supercar." Hiromu Naruse, 67, apparently veered out of his lane and collided with test drivers in a BMW. The two drivers in the BMW survived, though one is in critical condition, AOL Autos reports. Naruse was known as "Godfather of the LFA." The prototype he crashed in Germany, a special edition version of the model, is said to have been worth $1.8 million.

The question remains unanswered, who was driving the wrong way??

Sad sad sad :( .

cant be that safe of a car then...

The article doesn't give too much info, but looking at the photo it looks like a relatively low speed crash which is worrying if you happen to be travelling at 150mph in the car. It won't do much for the reputation of Toyota here in the US with all their new safety innovation as standard to try to deflect the recent throttle sticking issues!
