I don't believe much will change in the FIA with Todt's appointment as president; I'm afraid that despite the Frenchman's claims that change is on the horizon; I expect a continuation of the Mosley dictatorship which is really bad for the future of the sport; it's worrying that Mosley effectively asked Jean Todt to run, which makes me wonder if Mosley will be in the background pulling strings. I hope that Todt can deliver on his promises but I don't expect that to be the case, more corruption and disharmony ahead!

I think the thread topic title is a disgrace tbh

Edited (although mainly to clarify what this thread is about). I'll give him a chance (literally one single chance) too, perhaps naively - i think he has better attributes for the job than Vatanen does, but the whole potential for bias thing would easily override that. We'll see i guess. On the face of it there is a very small chance that he'll be completely fair, but at the same time it's not like the previous regime always appeared to make fair decisions...

when George (W) Bush was elected the first time. I said... well, he is now our president and I have to support him. I thought I believed in giving a person an opportunity to prove themselves. I was so naive..

I don't like Jean Todt, its a disaster to have him back in F1. He has to do some pretty amazing sh*t to change my opinion of him. He is more self absorbed and stubborn than the jackass that just left office.

What kind of person abstains in an Election like this?

Bah. Well anyway, 4 more years of corruption, inconsistency and arrogance: Here we Come!

Abstaining goes further, a person contacted by some of Jean's henchmen might choose to abstain, as a form of protest and disapproval of Jean Todt and the election process.

It's was not a campaign for change. With Max Mosleys help Jean's campaign motto was CHARGE.... "Come Help A Runt Get Elected."

Seriously...ugh I can't believe we'll have to deal with all of his crap again. Now there's no doubt that the FIA will stand for Ferrari International Assistance. Although on the bright side, Alonso will be at Ferrari :)
