Jackie Stewart and Heidfeld in the 1986 Williams FW11 (I think Heidfeld would have been awesome back in the Turbo era).

i can't imagine Heidfeld being awesome under any circumstances :hehe: but if you say so... Why do you think this?

He has a driving style that sort of reminds me of Prost's style. We all know Prost won two of his titles in the Turbo era, and mainly it was thanks to his smooth style which Heidfeld seems to have as well.

Fair enough, I know that Prost didn't actually know how to left foot brake until his second or third season in F1 when somebody showed him. Do you reckon Button would have been good for the same reasons?

Maybe, but what stands out about Heidfeld for me is that he's very clever and has great technical input, this would have benefitted him the same way as it did for Prost when he would save his fuel and tyres early on and then charge later when others are struggling for grip or trying to save fuel.

Senna and Clark, in a qualifying shoot out, in a Lotus (saying as both drove for them).

Rosset and Ide in an 88 Mclaren, just to see how bad they really were...

No, seriously, Senna and Clark in a Lotus 79, JYS as technical advisor.

Sounds like he could be in for a good year without refuelling then

Alesi and Mansell in the Ferrari F2004. Two of my favourites in the outright fastest car in F1 history. Those two drivers were no slouches either, mind you.:thumbup:

Ayrton and Lewis Magic :cloud9: In a fast slightly oversteery McLaren. On a drivers track but with close walls.(Bit like a mixture of Spa and Singapore)

villeneuve & Senna in mclaren mp4/5b *that would be a real aggressive team up*

Ok since the older cars wont be as fast, we gotta equal the field with handicaps... lets say Rain and monaco since you dont need blazing speed. What you think? lol

That might not help things but it raises an interesting question...what track!?

My Gilles Villeneuve + Stefan Bellof combo would fair well on street circuits I think but Charade would be my pick for the venue. I'd just have the rest of the field in 1972 cars to make it competetive, not to mention great sounding!

Saw a vid with Murray Walker earlier, he picked the Braham BT52 (the BMW powered 1400hp monster from '83) with the drivers Mansell and... Alan Jones. Pretty surprised about that really, given how much he's raved on about certain other drivers over the years!

Thats a really tough one. Think I'd put Hill & Alonso together in the FW19.
