a large part of the atmosphere at a GP is hearing the screeching cars go by and give you hearing problems later in life.

Yes, but what if it gets to the point where it's a choice between quieter racing, or no racing at all. This seems to be already happening in Belgium.

Think it`s called Jupiter or something like that i ended up getting pi$$ed on last year at Spa, Ended up totally bladdered one of the days i was there :hehe::drink:

Spa is the greatest circuit on the F1 calender and if it gets removed because of some moaning types i will be shocked and amazed. :banghead:

It only happens with circuits like Spa, Österreichring, Enna-Pergusa...
I've never seen anybody complaining about the noise in Hungaroring wich surrounded for villages.

Ignorance is bliss, isn't it.

Spa is one of the busiest GP circuits in the world. Nearly every racing series has a race at Spa during a season. Not to mention the various classic car racing series, and club events that go on there. It means the circuit is constantly abundant in noise. A noise most people don't like. Of course locals are going to be annoyed.

Then again, there is the argument that circuit is older than most of the residents there. The argument being that, you decided to live here in the first place, thats your fault.

I was at the Barcelona track once (not during a race weekend though). It says the track is in Barcelona, but it feels like your in the middle of nowhere. The hotel we stayed at, there was only 2 other families staying, and it was a big hotel, clearly built with the idea families would stay there during GP weekends.

Its a difficult one to call really. You can't just move the little town thats right beside Spa, and nor can you move Spa. Nor can just all of sudden stop racing at one of the most loved circuits ever.

I'm not being ignorant mate but by far the most noisy series will be F1.

I couldn't care less about residents its not like its all night (in most cases) and they choose to move there.

If it had just been opened near them, granted.

But is still sad.

 but i can understand why people dont want it, but not if they chose to move there after the track was built

Exactly. How long has that circuit been there? I'll hazard a guess and say far longer than most of the people who are complaining about it have lived there. :banghead:
