1. Hmm, well not exactly 'sites' I suppose 'groups' would be more accurate

Groups for 'news' (hint). Please don't make me add that together haha-
Anyway, yeah x.264 is an extremely impressive codec.
2. No not all night. You could get the qualifying, buildup, race, and post race all together maybe 3-4gigs? What's that a couple of hours download on high speed internet?
And I hate to say but literally everyone that I have to talk to about F1 here in Seattle gets theirs over the uh 'groups for news'. Not because it's cheapest (it is free of course) but because it's easiest.
3. Um VHS? Seriously? Wow, props for well- tenacity if nothing else. Haha.
BTW, where are you watching it? Speed channel? Are they live or usually a few days after the actual race or something?
4. Yeah funny how Bernie loves some technologies and ignores others. I'd think he'd care about expanding his distribution network.
Maybe I should write him a letter.
Here in the US almost nobody watches F1. It isn't exactly 'pushed' over the airwaves. I heard it was on Speed channel but did several searches with different spellings, etc and never found anything. Seems all we get is stock cars and American Indy, motocross, etc, but nothing really to compare to F1.
But I'd think if he modernized his distribution he could double the audience (at least here) overnight. I know several people who are willing to pay for it who aren't paying now.
5. So if there aren't any legal sites to download the races from (actually kinda surprised, I'd think some site somewhere would be charging five or ten bucks a race or something, huh) are there at least some DVDs or something? I need to catch up a bit on the season. And please please don't tell me what's happening! It's taken some real 'blinders' to get this far in the forum without seeing any news.
6. BTW, what are live timings? You mean lap times?
Thanks for all the responses!
