I don't get all 'teacher' when someone mispell's tire, it's tire and not tyre in my culture but who is to say who is right or wrong? I understood the meaning and realized that spelling's change, did I feel the need to start a thread about it, no! I accept that we are all different and I thrive on that difference because it help's me grow as a person and accept people and thing's for who/what they are.

Sorry no hug here. Your example is not a good one. The spelling of words varies between different countries and they are all acceptable. However, Juliet is talking about true misspellings that are not accepted anywhere (some are in texting/chatting).

Hehe, I know. Usually I'm so careful to double check everything when I'm having a grammar rant, because if there is a mistake, you can be sure that some smartarse will find it and point it out!!
