McLaren usually put in a decent showing at Monza. The car has plenty of mechanical grip, and the best engine and KERS on the gird. Plus, McLaren doing better than Ferrari at Monza always makes me feel good. :hehe:

Until Jean-Louis Schlesser makes a timely appearance at the Retifilio... ;)

Raikkonen to get yet another podium just to make Ferrari look even dumber for dropping him, for apparently no really good reason in the first place. :hehe:

Nah, Massa just isn't around anymore to make Kimi look bad.

But Kimi has scored more points than any other driver over the last 4 races. Ferrari have a good car, no doubt about it. A big step up from the unreliable mess they had at the start of the season.

The Ferrari has been more consistent, and KERS is becoming more of a factor. Fisi wouldn't do to badly at Ferrari right now.

Indeed. After Kovalainen couldn't get the job done in the race, and Hamilton's nightmare of a qualifying session.

My prediction: Jenson Button will manage to completely chicken up both qualifying, and the race, but will somehow manage to maintain most of his points advantage.

Erm that's happened what? 5 races on the spin? Something's gonna give, whether it's him pulling his head together or the Red Bull's making the most of it this time.

Badoer eyes points finish at Monza

By Edd Straw Sunday, August 30th 2009, 16:47 GMT

Luca Badoer believes that he can score points at Monza next month if he retains his seat despite being classified last in the Belgian Grand Prix.

The Italian, who returned to F1 racing after almost a decade as a test driver at last week's European Grand Prix, is tipped to be replaced for the Italian Grand Prix.

But Badoer believes that the experience he has built up over the past two weekends means he is now ready to fight for a top eight finish.

"In Monza, I will start with the aim to get in the points," said Badoer. "I am sure that I can get a good result there. It's one of the tracks that we do a lot of testing at. At Mugello, Fiorano and Monza I could close my eyes!

"Monza is my home track. I have a lot of experience and I think that the Ferrari will still be my car there.

"This weekend generally was positive and I have much more experience than in Valencia. Now I feel like I have always been racing in F1.

"With this race now, I'm ready. I feel comfortable, I have a good feeling for the car and I think Monza will be a good result.

The 38-year-old believes that a strong result in Monza is the best way to deal with the pressure put on him by the media for his performances in the last two races.

"The pressure will go away with a good result," said Badoer. "We are just waiting for a good result. Kimi won the race, so it's very good for Ferrari, for the spirit and for all the people that are working here and at home.

"We knew straight away after Felipe's accident that it was not an easy situation. But today we won the race and in Monza we both have a chance to have a good race."

You what?

You say it like it happened at every race this season, something which we both know is BS.

You what?

He won't score points for setting fastest laps in just Sector 1.

I have a theory that Luca Badoer is the stig, if he showed his true pace at Valancia and Spa he would of would of won by several laps.

However he chooses to drive slow as not to show up the other F1 drivers, as this would mean he would have to race for Ferrari full time, which would interfere with his far more important top gear commitments.

Does The Stig strike you as being that clumsy? And have you ever seen a more uncool Formula 1 driver than Badoer?

I thought Badoer was more like James May.
