This can go 2 ways for Red Bull if they use it.

1. Screw their championship hopes in one weekend
2. Blitz the field and go 1-2 for the next couple GP's and win the World Championship (which i hope happens)

It'd take more than 2 1-2s for them to pull that off. Consider the optimal:

Assume none of the top 4 score here at Valencia (Unlikely, Brawns will probably pick up more points, but anyway) .

The gap to Webber is 18.5. Assuming Webber leads Vettel home both times, he would gain 20 . As long as Jenson scores 2 points, he remains ahead. He is likely to score more than 2 points over those 2 GPs, even if it is cooler. And then there is the rest of the season for the Brawns to take wins (Warmer circuits like Abu Dhabi and (Potentially) Brazil will help the Brawns and Jenson is something of a Suzuka Specialist).

The Constructor's would be somewhat easier to take the lead of with 2 1-2s, but Brawn could snatch it back with the circuits later that suit them.

When I say couple I don't mean the next 2 races I mean the next 3 or 4 (bad choice or wording I know). We saw what happened with the Brawns at the last round. I think it has to be extremly hot like it is this weekend for them to go well.

KERS in the RB5 is very exciting...

but how would that do to the balance of the car? could the RB5 end up like the BMW car ? and how reliable is Renault's KERS system?

No it's Red Bull's own I believe.

 The one that sets on fire...

"There's a red firey glow coming out of the Red Bull!!!!"
"No Murray, that's just its KERS system."

shhh
its an afterburner

but yes, back on topic, Rb5's balance after KERS is very important...maybe they can use a short wheel base like Mclaren too?

hmm

No, its the Renault KERS system that they would use. They talked about the fact they would use Renault's system a while ago. Besides, if Red Bull had their own system, I think we'd have heard a bit more about it, in the same way we've heard bits of information about Williams system.

On the other hand.

Red Bull will NOT use KERS

They definitely have their own system i distinctly remember it setting fire in the factory last year.
