This is an interesting development and it really does throw a spanner into the works interms of the driver market.

Now I wonder how Piquet/Sauber might play their driver line up. Will they get a pay driver in along side Nelson? Or would they stick with someone like Heidfeld. Maybe they'd go all Brazilian and hire Barrichello? Or Di Grassi?

As far as I can tell, Kubica will definately not be staying, Renault are hot on his heels now - no matter if Alonso stays or goes to Ferrari.

Anyways, with Kubica as a free agent, anyone thinks Renault might use Grojean as a temp until 2010 where Kubica will be in the Renault team? If Nando goes to Ferrari, then Kubica might pair up with Grojean. But if Nano stays, then Kubica and Nano might be pretty fun! I heard they are good friends and they were pretty playful at the Shanghai Go-kart track.
