The messages I'm receiving are very mixed. Last year in France, for instance, Raikkonen was allowed to drive around with part of his exhaust flapping around, but, this season, Renault get banned from a Grand Prix for a similar offence. Absolutely scandalous, and yet more evidence that the FIA make things up as they go along and favour(ed) Ferrari. :thumbdown:

That said, Renault's actions were completely wrong and a punishment is warranted (just as it was last season, with the Raikkonen affair). However, banning them for a race was a bit over the top. A severe fine or points deduction would have been more appropriate.

Yup.

Sadly it is us, the fans, who get hurt by these decisions.

I've made my opinion clear many times already, so I won't go into it again.
