The old order should return to the front next season.

I hope so. I'm missing Ferrari and McLaren battles.

I'm not :P

... but really, I'm not missing them.

I'm not missing the years when it was just them at the front and nobody else, the best years were when they had to battle with Williams as well. 8-)

No matter what, you can't just have the same two teams dominating year after year. As the sport moves on it is better that teams gain and lose their supremacy. The cycle works. For example look at Ferrari.

The problem I have with the title battles at the moment is that they're all nicey nicey. :loveyoutoo::yawn: When McLaren and Ferrari compete with one another for championships, the gloves are off. 2007 and 2008 were ruined with politics, but they were the most engaging Formula One seasons since 1998 to 2001 odds.

You got that right! McLaren and Ferrari have provided me with the best thrills in F1! But please replace Kovvy with Alonso or Nico, that would be one awesome battle! it would leave Ferrari and McLaren frothing at the mouth :director:
It would be a dream battle, it would be 2007! but this season Massa would be improved so it would be a 4 way battle, McLaren is like Ducati, You have one awesome rider that no matter what he will get there, and the other rider Hayden can't get no where! That's Hammy & Kovvy for you!

The old order should return to the front next season. I for one can't see Brawn keeping up.

Brawn... dunno. An Adrian Newey designed car though? Yep.

Plus, McLaren have a massive task on to reclaim over a second a lap on the leaders without any major rule changes! :-|

I think you'll find that these situations have nothing to do with Ferrari and McLaren, but the drivers in the cars!

there are major changes in the weight distribution of the car due to the fuel tank. that will change the whole dynamics of the car and how it affects the tyres.

It's a worrying trend of teams abandoning the season by the half way point because of a bad start to the season. Maybe from next year we'll have some rule stability so teams can keep developing for this years car because it will still be valid for next season. If that is what happens, let's hope get we don't get another Mosley (Clown) clone!

Yes in-season testing is a problem for teams trying to play catch up as they have to just turn up with untested parts and hope that it gives them a performance boost!

Maybe we could roll back to 1993 rules as well as budgets returning to that era!

Most of the issue imo is the stupid rule concerning 'in season' testing.

Totally agree, it is just ridiculous! I'm sorry but for sports to be good you have to spend allot! look at Man United? They spend Millions on there players and they are on of the best teams in the world! Same For Barcelona FC, Oi, Oi :wavey:

You have to spend money to make things more entertaining!
If they let them have season testing we would have more competitors!

Right now we would be reading about how great the new packages are coming along and how great they are working! rather than reading about how Max Mosley is talking :bs:

Eh, no.

A very good point. For me, the in-season testing ban has sucked a lot of the interest out of Formula One. We are no longer looking at testing times and photographs, wondering what the pecking order will be like at the next Grand Prix.

Yeah i agree with you 100%
the testing does make F1 allot more exciting!

The thing tht kils it the most is telling us the weight of the car :irked:

I'm not.
It is great to have different people battling.

To me its more that i wish they (Ferrari and Macca) were battling AS WELL. It would be a dream season to have 4 teams battling for wins.
So hopefully next yr we'll have that.
