I was quite excited about the Valencia circuit, even thought about working a holiday around it. SOOOOOO glad i didnt!!! It was so boring, hated it. NOt saying street circuits are all bad,but this one was. Monaco is excusable because of its history, its forgiven, but it doesnt generally produce good races, so why make more of the same?? Crap tracks that dont produce good races and have no racing history.(shrug smilie-I cant make my smilies work 0h well i cud that one but not the ones on the extra page)

In my opinion ---> no doubt, there's no GP worse than Monaco(TopMost Boring GP ever).
This year I couldn't stand watching this longer than the start/finish times.
I bet Valencia couldn't be that boring this year.

I think Martin Brundle said it best. If Monaco did not have the history behind it F1 would not even consider going there. It is boring for spectators on TV and at the race track. If I was in charge I would have no qualms in dropping it from the calendar for a more race friendly track

i didnt watxh the race last time i was at a weeding so im kind of looking forward to it, but i have to say i havent heard a good thing about it

Surely its the action on the track that counts and not the "elevation changes" and "bumpy spots"

I agree that ultimately the action on the track is what counts, but I would argue that the challenges that the circuit provides can largely influence the action on the track. The layout of Valencia simply doesn't allow for much overtaking, and because its all perfectly smooth and flat, the likelihood of mistakes being made are far less, the grip is always there.

I dont get why so many people on here hate street circuits, to be honest, I love them. But maybe its just an American thing to like street circuits...

Don't get me wrong, I actually really like road courses (also an American lol). Valencia has the layout of a road course, but if you ask me, it has more in common with a typical permanent circuit than a road course. What I would love to see is a race on the streets of Macau, a proper street circuit.
