The only thing I remember is Kimi losing it and crashing thatnks to it and depending on creative math cost him the title.

Well the rule changes that year meant that any non-finishes had negative impacts on your next two races due to the one-shot qualifying. Bridgestone were completely caught out by the tire regs so that took Ferrari out of the title race and the new engine rules for that season meant that Kimi started about half the races form 10th on the grid or didn't finish them at all.

Oh crap I forgot about the 1 shot Q, Yeah that hurt Kimi more than tires did. That was stupid too.
