I'm sure it was no help to Jenson's image driving around in a car that had a big word "VIRGIN" on it. I wouldn't want to do it.

I don't think anyone would believe that of Jenson Button...

Have you seen his girlfriend?

The earlier story about someone having too much to drink and thinking your money can get you anything didn't set well with JB and Brawn. :whip:

You wouldn't want to drive a formula one car because it had virgin on it? They could put Tampax down the side, paint the thing like a giant cotton torpedo and I would still very happily strap in. Hell, I would drive a formula one car sponsored by Limp Noodle Male Enhancement, or Slick Willy Gay Lubricant. It's an F1 car for gods sake...who cares who the sponsor is.

The Virgin logos may soon disappear from the livery of the championship leading Brawn team.

According to The Times newspaper, the glitch in the tie-up with high profile billionaire Sir Richard Branson's brand is the immense success of the Brackley outfit in 2009, and Branson's persisting desire for a low-price deal.

The initial deal, clinched on the eve of the Australian Grand Prix, was for just $250,000 per race, but after four out of a possible five wins, the cost - overseen by Brawn's CEO Nick Fry - has logically skyrocketed.

Branson arrived in Monaco on Thursday, but it is rumoured that he will be a guest of the Red Bull team this weekend.

He then dined on Vijay Mallya's super-yacht in the evening, and The Times believes Ferrari and McLaren are also interested in negotiating with the 58-year-old.

Fry, however, who met with Branson on Friday morning, is unlikely to be overly worried, given that swathes of companies are believed to have registered their interest in backing Brawn GP.

Well with the economy in decline the ammount of money that companies are spending on advertising has plummeted. I know many people that workin advertising that no longer hve jobs. So it is a buyers market at the moment. I doubt Virgin will move, it would be probably the most stupid thing to do... sponsor the new team, that is winning, with a British driver and then pull out? No way...

Don't be recontexting my sentence now boys and girls. I mean that if I were a young verile testosterone riddled male I wouldn't want to drive around the streets in my road car with a huge sticker on the side that seemed to tell the world I'm a virgin.
Besides, you all take me too seriously.

I suspect that Branson will either pay the fair price or bow out gracefully, and the former is looking more and more likely. If he was still dragging his feet in the morning, I have to imagine Nick has notified him the price just went up...

Again. If he doesn't sign a deal soon, advertising space on the Brawn will be more valuable than the Number 1 on Lewis's helmet.
