So, who could replace Domenicali?

MS? He doesn't want to.
AP? Maybe, but he's more likely to try and step into an FIA role.
Gerhard Berger: probably the best available choice.
NL? Nah, maybe, nah, nah, nah!

If he doesn't have his own team next year, Dave Richards. Though, I think SD has it in him to tighten up Ferrari should there be more at stake. Wins, championships, etc.

Stefano is not the problem. No one person could cause Ferrari's troubles. It's really a lot of little things.

I don't think Domenicali is the problem per se; Ferrari has never been a particularly slick organisation. For whatever reason, Italian culture seems to have produced people who are always involved in politicking, which is why it took outsides such as Todt, Brawn, Byrne and Schumacher to run the team successfully. Domenicali doesn't have competent and fully obedient people working for him. It's time for he and de Montezemolo to get tough on the gaffes, insubordination, people on the take, and employ some non-Italians without ulterior motives and agendas.

i just think there is too much pressure on Italians working for Ferrari, its basically the royal family, national football team and rock and roll all rolled into one for Italians. Non Italians are needed simply so they don't feel the pressure as much. Very few people genuinely perform better under strain

And when asked about Felipe Massa running out of fuel at the end of the Spanish Grand Prix, Renault team boss Flavio Briatore told Spain's AS newspaper while laughing: "Fortunately I am not the head of Ferrari!"

Just noticed this, yet another nugget of wisdom shat out of Briatore's mouth... i think he has forgotten that he's head of an F1 team struggling to hold on to it's star driver, ailing in the midfield with no apparent signs of progress and has this other driver who is pretty much the biggest joke in Formula 1. Oh, and he unsuccessfully owns a London football club that no one cares about, nor they ever will. Epic fail Flav, it appears that you are actually the unfortunate one here.
