Monaco, why has everyone got this idea Red Bull will do so well.

From their bundles and bundles of mechanical grip.

Rain in monaco is a special special thing. I remember last year, I woke about around 8:00am and switched on the Porsche Supercup race that was on at Monaco and there was rain, so it meant F1 would have a wet monaco. It was like that moment when you wake up and open the curtains to see Snow everywhere.

If we get rain in Monaco again how amazing would that be.

OMG I'm so excited - Monaco is my favorite race of the season - but only because when I used to play on F1 '97 on my PlayStation it was the only track I could win at (damage off, flags off - barge through the drivers using the walls as my brakes lol!).

But Red Bull tend to be the car that preforms better in the fast turns. Meanwhile Brawn is the best stop start car apparently with plenty of traction. But then again, Toyota could easily be as fast at Monaco as they were at Bahrain. The truth is, we don't know.

But I trust James Allen in these matters, and he says this will not be a Red Bull circuit. People have said all year, Red Bull's speed is in the fast turns. Fast turns which monaco lack. Then again, I think everyone believed it would be McLaren who would dominate last year, and surprise it was ferrari who locked out the front row. It's just one of those things I guess were we'll just have to wait and see.

The Red Bull has generally been a car that's performed well in the past due to it's grip. We had the podium with DC a couple of years back and the 4th place with Webber. Plus, Webber isn't too shabby at Monaco himself where the majority of the race relies a lot upon the drivers skill and know how of the circuit a la Coulthard.
But the real pace of RB will show in Silverstone and Turkey .

Brawn is very good in High speed corners too.

basically Monte Carlo isnt so reliant on efficient aero as say Spain. So a car with good mech grip will shine here, and a good judge is a cars wet pace so Redbull has shown its got good mech grip so i am picking them to dominate and i would think Webber will be ontop as like you say he loves Monaco!

the Spain GP saw Vettel's RBRenault struggling VERY MUCH to get of the line compared to the BGP's...it was painful to watch, very very painful.
somehow i think Vettel need to be a bit more aggressive and be on the attack more frequently...

either way, i think RB might introduce their DDD in Monaco?
Vettel for win

I don't know anymore. :(

I would've liked a Red Bull domination, but that was depending on the result's in Spain. The truth is, you can't really say the car with the the better high speed corners will win, because how many high-speed corners are there in Monaco?

That said, I'm rooting for Red Bull, but I wouldn't be surprised if Alonso gets in there. But then I haven't ruled in the Brawns. I think there will be a high chance of Button getting a DNF here, because of engine power. Barichello is a bit more skilled than Button in my opinion.

Perhaps Nelson Piquet.... :hehe:

I guess we just don't know. :( I have to wait for 2 weeks of not having a clue.

2 weeks to go. Last year when my cruise ship stopped at Monaco I got to drive a Red Ferrari Spider around the F1 circuit - awesome experience

WTG I'm not even allowed to drive a shopping trolley

haha...there have been days when I was walking around trying to find the best line while shopping with my mom....good ole days

This is the one. I hope that another team can get in and take a win here. As much as I love seeing a good team do good, I hate seeing one team dominate and making it "a race for second" if you will.

I love Ross Brawn...but I hope that someone else wins here. Rubens is a great driver, but I think he is riding a brilliant car to his success at this point. Jenson is a brilliant driver who is finally getting a ride he deserves ( que bella esta el brawn...just thought I would get some espanol in here). This race is for the driver to win or lose... so at this point, I say the driver with the most to prove will prevail.

For some reason I can't get away from thinking that Lewis Hamilon will take a victory here. Or at the very least, Heikki with the win. I don't know, ever since the Mika Hakkinen days I can never get over seeing a McLaren at P1.
