Having watched a couple of races with turbo engines now, I find that I'd like to see them in the sport again. It would be cool :)

Would i race in GP2? No. I would rather race in Renault V6! there the only car that is under the F1 car? so why is that not a stepping stone? plus its cheaper?

GP2 is much closer to F1, and is a much more established series with a crop of much more competitive drivers. World Series by Renault is somewhere between F3 and GP2.

This weekend in Monaco for GP2, all bets on Pastor Maldanado to win race 1. He's taken pole at Monaco for the last 2 years, finished 1st in 2007, and 2008 came 2nd when Senna beat him off the line. My main question is this weekend, will we actually see any overtaking.

I'll be watching. Unfortunately I'll probably have Spanish commentators again.

But GP2, at last has live timing :D No doubt I'll be watching now.

Grosjean, on pole. Again, and by a full blown half second. :yikes:

Not only that, to add insult to injury. Grosjean's best time was set mid-way through the session, where it was by my guess a second clear of second. He decided to do one last run and was going faster, but decided to not even complete the lap, because pole was already secured. That's something else. Grosjean really looks unstoppable this year. Last week his pole came by a tenth from second and half a second from 3rd.

Piquet's seat is as good as gone with someone like that poised to take over.

Woah, strange two races. Grosjean and Petrov dominated race 1, and it was pretty much a precession.

Race 2, chandolk started from 2nd and came out first into turn 1, and lead a brilliant race. Built up 3 seconds in the first few laps, and would've been such a great win for the guy. But his car gave up, with about 10 laps left. You really have to feel for a guy in that position.

Grosjean also had an almighty crash. Just after the first chicane, coming into the corner that leads to the swimming pool complex, he collided with Zuber and his car got launched into the air and was half on top of the barriers. It was actually pretty close to the spectators. In fact, it nearly hit the camera, and I'm sure the camera man there ran for his life.

In all honesty I thought the two gp2 races were generally poor compared to previous years.
However Grojean's shunt and Chandok's failure at least made the sprint entertaining.

The accident was clearly Zuber's fault I'd say. He moved to protect the inside line, so Grosjean went to the outside, and Zuber just came back and cut across him.

But still, I watched the video again, and the camera-man was still there. I would've ran like a bitch. That car came so close to hitting someone.
