well if they are getting a whole new chassis in Spain then they probably have stopped development on the current one and have just been left in the wake of others advancements.

they may well blow away the field in Spain :hehe:

Such as being kicked out of Constructors championship?

Since I'm predicting things all over the place, I'll predict that any punishment of McLaren will not be that harsh. But perhaps they'll lose points for a few races. Or LH may be banned for a few races. Since LH is possibly the sole member of the McLaren organisation directly involved in the lying, it would be unfair if he was kept in the drivers' championship, but McLaren themselves were booted out of the Constructors' championship.

 You wish

I just hope McLaren are there at all .

seems most likely they will be but in minus constructor points. numbers 22-23 again next year? or if theres 2 new teams the famous 27 and 28 of Ferrari

as for the pecking order this race will be interesting to see the big upgrades all the teams will bring so who knows.

Not too late for them to keep the numbers 1 and 2

Oh, I see. I thought you were suggesting that I was wishing punishment on Lewis.

This is what you said, the bit in red is the important part, if thats not your wish/desire/expectation, then I don't know what is - "it would be unfair if he was kept in the drivers' championship"

Quote FerrariFan63 "Since I'm predicting things all over the place, I'll predict that any punishment of McLaren will not be that harsh. But perhaps they'll lose points for a few races. Or LH may be banned for a few races. Given it's Spain next, if LH was suspended for a couple of races and PdlR took his place, that might please the Spanish crowd.

Since LH is possibly the sole member of the McLaren organisation directly involved in the lying, it would be unfair if he was kept in the drivers' championship, but McLaren themselves were booted out of the Constructors' championship."

This quote is out of context and completely changes its meaning when quoted alone.

Your red highlighting of part of what I say puts it out of context. Look at the whole quote:

it would be unfair if he was kept in the drivers' championship, but McLaren themselves were booted out of the Constructor's championship.

I don't expect either to be booted out of their whole championship. But I believe that LH is as culpable as the whole team. So, if the team gets punished but LH does not get at least as strict a punishment, then I think that would be unfair.

30 Points off McLaren seems to be the way it's going. Possibly 15* off Lewis as well (None off Heikki) would be more fair, but I can't see that happening.

Edit:

*Though I would deduct from that the 5 he lost from Aus itself

He got punished, he was stripped of the original points, his reputation was seriously damaged, have you not seen his interviews, the kid is broken. Just how far do you want to see him kicked. He ****ed up big style, he know's that, I know that and so do all F1 fans. To deny him the hard earned points since Oz now would be futile, and a confirmation just how much B.E and M.M hate McLaren. Mclaren have screwed up, their main sponsor I suspect are cringing to be associated with yet another McLaren screw-up. Whitmarsh has issued a public apology to the FIA for their behaviour. Dave Ryan has gone (and rightly so, he ****ed up by getting the radio instruction to Lewis to let Trulli back through after he went off the track (Even an F1 newbie would know that even under yellow flags, Lewis had done the right thing by passing) and then to see Ryan marching off to the stewards to get Trulli shafted, that was unforgiveable, even worse was to rope Hammy in to confirm that no instruction had been given to him, put the kid right behind the 8 ball. Give the lad a break. Oh and if they do shaft Hammy further, I hope to god he walks away from F1 for good

I made a very specific point, and you are addressing something entirely different. After you misinterpreted what I said, I politely and clearly pointed out your misunderstanding. But you've come back with exactly the same misunderstanding. I'm not wasting any more of my time explaining it to you again. Go back and read my posts properly.

And you need to get your biaised head out of the sand or the Ferrari pit garage, Your post was most clear, you also stated " But perhaps they'll lose points for a few races. Or LH may be banned for a few races" which is why I posted 'You wish'. which is why you take offence. engage gear, then brain b4 you post garbage
