Team organization: Brawn
They need a little work in terms of middle-management, but their facilities are amongst the best, and their right near Silverstone for testing and shakedowns.

Engine: Mercedes Benz
Seems to be better than the BMW and Ferrari powerplants right now. If the Cosworth proves decent, I would go for that for the sake of cost though.

Designers: Geoff Willis & Jorg Zander
Designed the BAR 006 and the BGP-001, two supremely neat and very rapid cars.

Team director: Ross Brawn
Well, obviously.

Drivers: Jenson Button and Anthony Davidson
Superstar and unsung hero.

So brawn gp without rubens then lol

proper fanboy

Geoff Willis doesn't work for Brawn GP :P

And hey, you can't argue with the results - adjusted for time in the sport, they're just the most successful team ever* ;)

*Yes, I do know that statistic is skewed to the point if irrelevancy.
EDITED BACK because that's none of your business

Team Organisation: McLaren. The Technology Centre and team's obsession with clinical attention to detail speaks for itself. With Ron Dennis out of the way, the team should have to be less paranoid about the FIA and things should run a lot more smoothly.

Engine: Mercedes-Benz. With all of their internal politics now sorted, the company's top-class facilities are starting top pay. Easily the most powerful and drivable engine on the grid.

Designer: Adrian Newey, provided there is a good nuts and bolts mechanical engineer (such as Patrick Head) working alongside him to ensure his cars are reliable and solid as well as fast. Williams twigged onto this and got the best out of Newey, whereas McLaren allowed him to do what he wanted and it was fiasco for the most part.

Team Director: Ross Brawn. The name speaks for itself. No more explication is required.

Drivers: Fernando Alonso (if he will except equal status with with his team-mate) and Sebastian Vettel.

All we need is agree on either Alonso or Lewis and we're good to go. :hehe:

I think Hamilton would get along better in a team, as he would be more likely to accept equal status with a good team-mate. Alonso, however, is good at developing cars and working with engineers. If Alonso was happy enough with how I would run things, I'd give him the nod.

My Dream team would be the original dream team
Michael Jordan
Larry Bird
Clyde Drexler
Magic Johnson
Scottie Pippen
John Stockton
David Robinson
Charles Barkley
Karl Malone
Shaquille O'Neal
Christian Laettner

Id go with all you said in your original posting Kerc. I wouldnt have Alonso in my team and think Lewis is better anyway. Ib be tempted on Webber but hes getting older and hes too damn unlucky! And Id add B Senna as a tester/third driver.

Team facilities and ethos: McLaren
They have the best facilities and IMO the best approach to the sport the McLaren Technology Centre is ultra cool!

Drivers: Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel
Quite clearly very talented drivers but I would have to get rid of Anthony Hamilton and replace him with Mika as Lewis's manager and mentor.

Team Principle: Ross Brawn
He's at the top of his game and I think he knows how to get the job done!

Team Manager: ?
Someone who is a very good strategist can make the right call manages the drivers well and doesn't BS.

Designer: Adrian Newey
He is very talented and with Brawn at the helm I doubt that he would be allowed to build his very fast but unreliable cars!

Head Engineer: Patrick Head
Has got the knowledge the experience and management skills to keep Newey under control

Engine: Mercedes-Benz
To put it simply Mercedes currently make the most powerful, drivable and reliable engines around!

Hmmm I think dream team would be a bit too easy for me, so if you're alright I'm going to give this one a twist and turn it into a NIGHTMARE team setup. :D

Team organization: Andrea Moda (1992)
Lots of reasons here, turning up without paying the season entry fee, sending Perry McCarthy out for practice at Silverstone in hot conditions on wet tyres (sound familiar?) and then sending him out at Spa with a broken suspension and not telling the driver, failing to pay for Judd engines and having to borrow some from the Brabham team, missing the French GP getting stuck in the French lorry driver blockades when everybody else managed it and finally to cap off the humiliation, thrown out of the Championship for their unprofessionalism. :)

Engine: Life W12 (1990)
Ambitious design but rubbish. Bulky, heavy, unreliable and severely underpowered (only 400 bhp!!!).

Designer: Either the guy who designed the Honda RA007 (2007) or the University Students who designed the 1991 Coloni
Who would you go with? A guy who had never designed an F1 car before or some Perugian University students?

Team director: Andrea Sassetti (Andrea Moda (again!))
I don't think he knew a thing about F1, he was an Italian shoe designer and also did dodgy business. And then he got arrested in the paddock at Spa for forging invoices

Driver 1: Piercarlo Ghinzani
Drove in F1 for most of the 80's, never showed anything except content for driving around in last place all day.

Driver 2: Jean-Denis Deletraz
I'm not sure how much money he brought with him to Larrousse and Pacific, but surely you'd feel some signs of humiliation when you notice that one of your drivers has been lapped 10 times and the race is only halfway through!
