I think the battle here is between Brawn and Toyota, the faster teams under dry conditions so far (Excluding China Qualifying which went pear-shaped for Toyota, though Brawn remained fastest), with Red Bull scrapping in there too. Could wind up as a 4-6 way fight for the win. Button would be the pick of the Brawns, Trulli of the Toyotas and Vettel of the Red Bulls. I could see that winding up as the Podium actually.

let's not forget redbull qualified 1st and 3rd on a relatively dry day. so what's up with people saying the redbulls are only fast in the wet?

they're equally fast in the dry as well. and that's without a double deck diffuser and kers.

Fuel adjusted Brawn were faster

You have to look at just how much lighter they were, though. Had Brawn taken three laps of fuel out of each car, they probably would've been up front.

Yeah if Rubens had taken out 3/4 laps worth then I he would of got pole!

I think Senna turning down the DTM drive with Mercedes may be saying something at Renault.

:hehe: Already said this, Grosjean will be straight into that Renault seat, not Senna.

I doubt Williams will drop Nakajima just yet. There's a chance he can improve, but if he doesn't. Indeed he'll be out the door and we'll see Hulkenburg in straight away.

But it's still early days. I doubt we'll see driver changes this early. Onto Bahrain, and Bahrain is one of these tracks that will really reveal the pecking order due to their mix corners. It's a lot like Barcelona in that sense. So really, I think we're looking at yet another Brawn victory.

The other teams though. Massa, the winner here twice certainly should be able to bag some points. KERS hopefully will help, but most of all hopefully the car will last the whole race distance. 3 races, and only 1 ferrari has lasted the whole race distance. Ferrari will also be wanting some updates on the car now.

McLaren and Renault. They're getting there with the diffusers and certainly will be looking at understanding the car a bit more. So a stronger weekend for them perhaps.

Promoting Hulkenberg might be a good idea because he's got some milage on the FW31 and is being "groomed" by Williams as it were, but because he's competing in GP2 this year I'm not sure if that would clash at all.

I think the KERS will give a decent advantage off the line in the Bahrain as well as coming out of the corners and onto the straights. For me this is normally one of the most boring tracks of the year but we will see maybe it will be better this year I expect that this track will suit the Brawns pretty well.

Toyota wont allow Williams to drop Nakijima

I don't think that would stop Frank trying, if Toyota throw a fit and take their engines away from Williams leaving them with Judds that blow up every 10 seconds so be it.

I don't think Mercedes can physically produce enough engine for another team either, Maybe Renault?

Williams-Renault wouldn't look like too bad a move ;)

That wouldn't happen because of fraudster Flavio.

If we offered BMW a bit of money and asked for just the engines, they couldn't really say no. Afterall a paying customer is a customer.

That's a good point and the engine is pretty bullet proof don't think it is as powerful as the Mercedes engine though!
