As longbow says, gotta attract sponsors with some space to sell, but also didn't honda have a habit of pre-season testing with plain white, more so than this? or was that another team?

Yes, hence why I said I hoped it only stayed as the interim colours.

Looking around it looks like the RA107 was tested in black and the RA108 was white.

I also like the front wing + nose cone. The lines are nice and the front wing doesnt look like an appendage...

But the livery and logo are kinda amateurish. They probably had to rush it though...

I can only hope that the white livery is from not having had a chance to spend some proper quality time in the paint shop yet. I can think of very few F1 cars that looked really good in a predominantly white livery. In my opinion the best colour for F1 cars is black...

That front wing end-plate looks a bit busy. I'll be unsurprised if they go back to a more conventional arrangement later. At the other extreme the airbox looks very mid-1990s, practically neanderthal... The sidepod openings look very McLarenesque as well.
