Yay! I'm back! :wavey:

Vettel is gonna be really, really good. Like, if you put them in the same car, it would be a very exciting, skillful, and ... young combination. Hamilton would still beat Vettel, because of Hamilton's driving style.

You know what's great about Hamilton? He's driving his own unique style, however wreckless it may be. Can we say that about anyone else in the field?

I was disappointed to see that Vettel doesn't have a Ferrari in his Red Bull this year. But I think Vettel will be better than Webber. Webber is in his last few, if not last, years of this sport.

So, will Vettel get to drive for Ferrari or McLaren in the future?

Nobody can compare Vettel to Hamilton yet. Not until he is given a chance to fight for the title. All we can do is speculate.

I, for one, agree with you - Vettel's achievement last year is something no other current "top driver" has done - wining the race in utterly inferior car. I think he is the next Top Gun and will be able to compete and win against the best - given competitive car. Of course, showing huge potential in inferior car does not necessarily mean he would adapt to top car with ease - or at all - but obviously, potential is there.

I'm also very happy to see McLaren is looking at him. I like Heiki but after the last season, somehow do not see him reaching greatness... in short, I fear he'll be next DC in McLaren, decent but not spectacular. And I want to see another Senna/Prost-esque struggle within the team.

What if Lewis had been driving the STR and Vettel the McLaren? I have witnessed amazing stuff as we all have from Lewis but I have also witnessed the same from Vettel in a subpar car compared to the McLaren.
We really have two great talents that I expect to bring phenomenal result's over the next few years if not longer.

They just recovered from FA vs. LH, so I doubt they want similar stuff going on in the near future. HK is probably exactly what the doctor prescribed, as boring as he is, he's providing a drama-free environment between the two drivers and the crews.

SV will be great in almost any team because I think not unlike MS he can be the team leader and make things happen.

I would not mind it at all to see Vettel at McLaren but there may be a battle between Mclaren and Ferrari for his services in the near future?

...with BMW Sauber as the dark horse.

Yep I never really considered them and the German connection between them. I still believe though that Ferrari is number one and McLaren second due to the connection and mentoring Shumi has given Vettel over the last few seasons considering the Ferrari connection between the two teams. Yet we all know F1 is very unpredictable where the impossible IS possible, either way it should be a very interesting next few seasons and Lewis will no doubt be a player in the outcome of both team's future driver lineup.

I think it will all depend on who has the quickest package in the end.

You are right and atleast we can count on McLaren and Ferrari to be the quickest in an overall concesus considering history. Either way we have great times ahead of us with great drivers and on that front the future will be very exciting.

Its so sad to hear no one mention Rosberg. He's really got himself in a pickle staying at Williams. But still he's a great talent who I think has yet to show his hand.

But certainly, Hamiliton is an amazing driver, what I just don't like is his lack of acknowledgment that other cars are behind him. In italy he completely shoved Glock of the track on what was barely a corner. He did the same with Webber, giving webber an unreasonable lack of room. It's that general attitude, like when he came out and I said "I don't get overtaken" He wasn't like that in 07 though. He was more modest back then. I personally preferred that side to Lewis.

This is why I'm always a fan Gilles Villenueve. The guy was as crazy as hell, but at the same time his competitors said he has fair and that he would never put himself in a position that he would cause a crash with another car that was avoidable.

As for Vettel. Bais opinion here, since I'm already supporting the guy wherever he goes. But future world champion fo' sure

And speaking of German drivers. Watch out for Hulkenburg in a few years, mark my words he's fast.

Hamilton could have been in a Williams now and Sir Frank could have had the number 1 on his cars had Dr Theissen not stood in the way in 2004 whilst the team was struggling with Ralf and also Montoya knowing he was off to McLaren for 2005.

Hmm i think some people are missing the point with Sir Franks comment here's hes not saying LH is nearly as good as Jackie Stewart or Jim Clarke, hes just saying he could be.

and also upon reading the full article wich Mclaren fan posted he does say Nico is a good talent but accepts he's not been given the car to proove it.

but i would love moving more than to see Nico and Lewis racing for positon at the front in 2009.
