I think BMW have done a nice job of the rear of the car. The sidepods and rear wing look particularly sleek. I'm still not sure about the nose. I think the McLaren front end looks much better. I'm really looking forward to next season. There are a handful of teams that could produce title-winning cars.

Personally, I disagree (although both of our favourite teams (at least, of the current ones, in my case) are being compared here, so I guess it was inevitable :P ). I'm liking the higher, wider noses, myself. I think the thing about the BMW Sauber that I like the most is that it looks smooth, uncomplicated and, best of all, fast! :D

I also think that they've got a very good combination of features seen on other cars. They've got the same front wing style as the McLaren (with multiple elements), the high nose of Renault and toyota, with the wider features as seen on the Renault and Williams. Then they've got the tight rear end that Ferrari seem to have. If anybody has seen the cockpit shot, it's interesting to see that there is some kind of lever on the left-hand side. With no visible KERS dials or buttons on the steering wheel, could it be for that particular system?

I much prefer last season's BMW.
And the lack of sponsors is pretty worrying.

That front wing doesn't look as bad now, but I have to say the back of the car has to be the best shape of all of the 2009 cars so far. :)

The BMW is definitely better proportioned compared to, lets say, the Toyota. I still think that they would look so much nicer with a rear wing similar to the '08 spec.

I think the BMW is the only car so far that fits my initial vision for 2009's cars, when the rules were first announced. It looks great! Certainly the BMW and Mclaren are the best looking cars though.

What?! The F1.08 was a monstrosity >.<

Well my view is (for some reason I love all the winglets etc.) last seasons BMW was a beast like "ROOOOOAR gonna get ya", whereas this seasons are little ponces.

A real cracker, credit to BMW for producing a great looking race car. The 2009 cars are really exceeding my expectations in terms of looks and car design !

I'm not certain what the level is for either. In terms of the looks, I'm really just not a fan of the more rectangular-shaped BMW nose and I think the front wing just looks too linear. I really do love the McLaren nose and front-wing. The curves and shape of the nose and wings look much more elegant. The suspension layout is very nice. When I first saw it attached to the MP4-23, I felt there was a kind of retro feel to it. It reminds me of the some of the pre-1998 cars.

My favourite looking car has to be the Lotus 49B. Jo Siffert.

Yep that's what I was also thinking, and in particular the the new BMW has a very '97ish' feel to it.

thats funny you should mention that, i showed my girlfriend the picture of the 08 and 09 BMW cars and asked which one she liked better. She pointed to the 09 car :yikes: and said "this one, the older looking one"
