it is not of appropriate content to be in General F1 Discussion.

Where should it be?

If this had been posted about Luca and an ex-employee of Ferrari, imagine the out-cry of Ferrari lambs. This article appearing in forum is insulting to all McLaren fan. Nice edit.

Mr Boland, who is representing himself...

Hehehe, going it alone against McLaren isn't the smartest thing in the world. I don't expect him to get too far. :D

Yeah, if it stood a chance in hell, a lawyer would be representing the guy.

It is quite appropriately put in General F1 Discussion as it's a news item about a current (as opposed to historic) member of the F1 circus. The validity or merit of the content may be discussed HERE. Nothing to do with insult - you can't censor news simply because you don't like them.

Right Ive been looking for articles to back up this thread, because the original post had no web link. So I would say it could easily be interpreted as lies.

Ron Dennis's private jet steward warned of 'nasty' consequences of legal battle - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/motors ... attle.html

The McLaren Formula One boss Ron Dennis's ex-steward on his private jet, Peter Boland, was warned by a former colleague that things would "get nasty" if he attempted to challenge a decision to sack him.

Peter Boland claimed that he was the target of intimidation, a tribunal has heard. It included having a "private investigator" sent to his flat, after he indicated that he was to bring legal proceedings against the company whose drivers include the world champion, Lewis Hamilton.

The 27-year-old engineering graduate worked on Mr Dennis's private jet for five years but was sacked last May after being seen appearing to nod off during a long-haul flight.

He alleges that Mr Dennis dismissed him after hearing unfounded rumours circulating among staff that he was homosexual and is claiming unfair dismissal and victimisation.

The alleged warning came in a telephone call with his boss Lyndy Redding, managing director of Absolute Taste, the Formula One catering company co-founded by Mr Dennis, two months after he was sacked.

He claims that she told him: "I don't want it all to get nasty because I know them, I know you, I know the business."

The alleged conversation continued: "It's a very scary thing to be going up against McLaren. I feel worried for you.

"I met you first, I liked you, I introduced you to Ron, I feel responsible and I just want to help you help yourself."

Mr Boland, of Stowmarket, Suffolk, told an employment tribunal in Southampton that he found the conversation "intimidating".

He also alleges that he was threatened amid a dispute over the rightful ownership of a hire-purchase car, worth up to £26,000, which he originally acquired as a benefit of his job.

He claims that a "private investigator", working on behalf of the McLaren group, gained entry to his flat in London and threatened to have him arrested for "theft".

Mr Dennis and a series of companies connected with him Mclaren and Absolute Taste deny the allegations.

This story has been rumbling on for a while now. It's almost certainly a load of crap. 45% of McLaren is owned by Arabs and the team receives a fair chunk of its sponsorship money from Arabs as well. Hardly an indication that Ron Dennis is racist.

I would be a bit strange being a racist and having lewis as your driver.

i think i would be sacked if i was asleep in work.(well if they catch me )

I found this article in The Times of London. A very reputable paper in terms of their sports coverage. The story is probably crap and is just a disgruntled employee looking for revenge but I posted it for discussion.
