Well said, and even Balestre wasn't as bad as Mad Max. Sure he tried fixing Championships in Prost's favour - and succeeded in 1989 - but he didn't try banning every single new innovation conjured up by Colin Chapman (except the Lotus 88), Gordon Murray and co the very minute it was introduced. And when he brought about the end of the Turbo era, he at least introduced something just as good, the 3.5 Litre normally aspirated engines, whereas Mad Max has ditched the 3 Litre V10's and for a time was adamant he wanted everyone to use the same car and engine.
And one more thing, Balestre didn't engage in Nazi orgies. Or in his case didn't engage in any orgy acts based around the French Secret Service which Balestre was part of during the Second World War.
