If I was Kovi I would be looking for a future in F1 with a better team. If Kovi always has to start with a heavy car that is eating tires then how in the world would he ever be able to compete with anyone??
This year proved many times how important quali is and unfortunently Mclaren never gave both drivers an equal opportunity there. I kinda hope Mclaren will hire someone else so that Kovi can look for a better seat where he gets the same chance that his teammate gets

Mclaren F1 is one the top teams in the sport! He is in a car that can win WDC's and its not Mclaren's fault that he qualifies in 5th or 6th and so has to go on a heavy fuel strategy to have any chance of getting a podium. I am sure in the early part of the season Kovi had the same chance as Lewis in the qualifying sessions. The bottom line is Kovi is lucky to be in a team like Mclaren because Ferrari would never take him and neither would BMW. He is not good enough at this moment to deserve his seat but I believe that he can get better. If not winning world titles at least being up there so Mclaren can get 1-2 finishes.
Ferrari will win the WCC in 2009 in large part thanks to Heikki Kovilainen!

Hmmmm, I thought I watched every race last season but i guess I missed a few, could you point out those races where Kovi actually got the better strategy? I think i missed them but please let me know which they are......

Ah, the forum idiot is back again. As I've told you before, Kovalainen has only himself to blame for not being in title contention. Despite the best efforts of everybody at McLaren, he wasn't up to standard. His race pace was poor because he took a lot out of his rear tyres. As a result, he could not be given the shorter-fuel strategy, for he would not have the race pace to build up a sufficient lead for the first round of pit stops. Hamilton, though, did have the race pace to build up a sufficient gap so as not to be passed in the pits. Then, as the season progressed, Hamilton got on top of his tyre problem by changing his driving style. Kovalainen, on the other hand, was not able to...

And in what race did they test Kovis ability???????? Guess you are bright enough to point that out to me.......

Your question is irrelevant, fool, for, as I've already said, Kovalainen took too much out of his rear tyres, so was not fast enough over a race stint. He could not, therefore, be given a short-fuel strategy.

A guy takes too much out of his tires and therefore has to drive longer stints? Dude you make a lot of good points

You clearly can't read. As I've said, in a race, Kovalainen would have been slow too build up the necessary gap to still be ahead of whoever after the pit stops. You should shut up, stop embarrassing yourself, and listen to your more experienced and more intelligent betters.
And on what facts do you base that comment? ABSOLUTELY NONE.
Accept the fact that a certain team favours their certain driver and we can both shut up!!!!!!!!
Where are the races that Kovi is showing it? When did he had the strategy on his side? You can assume anything you want but knowledge is another thing.......
And ofcourse driving at P1 isn´t any easier than driving in P6 behind Jarno Trulli with your logical thinking right? They can´t tell what Kovi is able to do untill they give him the chance to prove it....
doubt it
But I shall still keep supportive
