A Formula One fan who placed a bet a decade ago on Lewis Hamilton becoming a world championship racing driver has pocketed £125,000 in winnings.

Wow, that's a long time to wait for a bet to pay out.

Maybe I should bet someone that it will be stormy on Tuesday, July 15, 2059 here in southeastern Ohio (US). I'd be going on eighty at the end of that year, so I might not even be around to see if I win the bet, if I could even remember it that far down the road.

I bet everybody will be scouting web sites for results of low formula motor racing for people who seem to be doing well and banging a few quid on them now, haha..
