and you insist on sticking with a losing team ??

A bit off topic but... Are you suggesting everyone should support the winning team just because they're winning? How boring that would be!

Back to the topic (sort of) - if Massa has to win, then I'd rather see him win through racing ability rather than because he was 'helped'.

the emphasis was on the part you left out. tell me some - are you a female by any chance - that would explain why you disecting the post to suit your way of thinking. no sweat - please dont feel out a place. dont mean anything by it. just wanna know. but no .. thats not what i am suggesting infact i AM A MASSA SUPPORTER - irrespective of who he driving for.

First things first - yup, I'm most defiantly of the female variety (which you'd probably have figured out if you looked at my username - not too many guys called Emma, I'm sure) - but that has nothing to do with how I post. Also, I don't feel out of place at all, thanks. Oh, and I think you DID mean something by it, otherwise you wouldn't accuse me of directing my posts to 'suit my way of thinking' just because I'm female. But it's ok... I won't take offence, or think that you're being unfair by judging me based on my gender, and then trying to insult me by using stereotypical ideas you might have about women :)

Secondly, I don't think I'm 'disecting' my posts at all...
I only quoted that part of your post because that was the part I wanted to refer to.

Lastly, I may have misjudged what you meant to say, but you didn't make yourself very clear in the first place... and I'm still struggling to understand how you putting the emphasis on the bit I left out form the quote changes what you said at all.

Lewis Vs Everyone else, how sporting.

Since Schumacher retired the sport's been missing someone for everyone else to hate.

Of course Massa (and Ferrari need help). If the FIA had kept their noses out of things this season, the drivers' championship battle would have been long over. The constructors' title would still be ongoing, but even it's virtually over now.

I for one, and I know I'm not alone, see ALOT of gender bias in your post Tony_sa. Believe it or not there are some lady's on this site that may very well know alot more about F1 than you and frankly I find your post very offensive to our members of the female persuasion.

An opinion should not be viewed or percieved as gender, race, color or creed biased but just for what it is, an opinion.

Seems like you actually have something against women?

Massa still needs to win by more than seven points if its to be a clean, moral victory that he can claim he won himself.

Arguments have to be 'constructive', you say? I'm not sure that offending me by referring to my gender is all that constructive.
Anyway, my original comment was only in passing; a joke really - I didn't actually think that you would like us all to support the winning team.

If Massa does win this year, I'm almost (note - almost!) going to feel sorry for him - it's gonna be a bit of a hollow victory after all this.

Woah, Lewis needs ferrari to unreliable and to break down to win a championship, how really sad.
Bah, McLaren fans are stuck up there own arses these days. And for the record, I don't support Ferrari.

To me, whoever wins, wins this year. You'll just have to get over it.

Tend to agree with you but would still love it if he wins. will just make him more determant to prove he can do it again the next season

You could also argue that Ferrari needs the intervention of the FIA to win a championship... But I don't want to start THAT argument all over again :nono:
BTW, I don't support McLaren or Ferrari, I'm just playing Devil's advocate

Cars occasionally breaking down is part of Formula One. The governing body fixing the championship too boost viewing figures but ultimately securing Ferrari victories is not.
