Corsica is French  Just like Napolean was
Napoleon was born in the town of Ajaccio on Corsica, on 15 August 1769, one year after the island was transferred to France by the Republic of Genoa.[1]

That means he was actually Italian, well sort of. Nuh he was French, like we want the little twat anyway! Its like saying I am a Jugoslav because Slovenija was part of Jugoslavija when I was born. HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Screw that. Napolean was French on the basis that Corsica was part of France for most of its history when Napolean was around. Besides it is still part of France today even though most Corsicans want to be independent and they also speak a language called Corsican which far more similar to Italian than French. And yes Tex I've gone off topic sorry, but I wasn't the one who mentioned Napolean to begin with. I'll get back on topic. Red was the topic. The French and Italian flags both have Red in them. In fact both flags are similar in more ways than you think. Napolean (Yes that guy again) designed the Italian flag. He substitued the blue of the French flag with Green his favorite colour to make the Italian flag. This later became the indepentant Kingdom of Italy when poeple from there helped Napolean to several victories. After Napolean was defeated the territory was returned to its former rulers. (I think Austria) but then in 1850s Italy once again gained independence for good and the same flag designed by Napolean got used only it had a grb in the middle for the Kingdom of Italy which was later removed in the late 1940 when Italy became a republic. Remember the RED factor is what started this topic. RED, ROSSO, ROJO, CRVENA, RDEČI am still sort of on the topic here. :hehe:
