Robert just doesn't give a f***... where as Lewis does...
He'd rather turn up with his hair all over his place, or say something random and unscripted.
At the same time, neither are doing anything wrong. People can present themselves however they see fit.

Kubica has grew up without the large backing that most other drivers on the grid have had, he is less prone to the open media etc. His determination to get into F1 has now become a determination to be champion. I don't think he has much time for other things lol

:bs:

Would one possibly care to elaborate? :)

Well,
Lewis is probably the most media friendly driver in the field. He is very approachable, but sometimes you can't help feel that he has been told what to wear, what to say and things like that. What I was getting at, maybe all of his backing with Mclaren and that have seen him moulded in that way - especially as success has followed.
Whereas Kubica has come from a country, with less interest in motorsport (let alone motorsport infrastructure) and less backing, so he has had to work hard to get noticed by BMW and that. Although I don't doubt Hamilton's determination, I'd bet that Robert isn't really interested in how he looks or who his girlfriend is. He had to work so hard all those years that he only wants to succeed. Hence why he doesn't like the status. Maybe he shy? Or uninterested?

Sorry, I didn't word the last post very well, Just was me typing random thoughts out and not constructing it well.

Yep id agree with most of that (though not all drivers have backing). Both Robert and lewis come from similar backgrounds and are extremely talented, they are also both supremely confident in their abilities and single minded about succeeding. the difference is that lewis needs to be liked and robert isnt bothered, I think needing to be liked could be lewis's only weekness. Not spotted a weakness in robert yet so have to hope that the ultimate talent superiority lies with lewis.

Well no, not necessarily. i said he needed to be liked not loved. Nicole dumping him might unsettle him but he's wanted F1 success longer than he's wanted Nicole so it may just refocus him even stronger on the racing.

How do you tame those animals then racechick :hehe: ?

Also I bet Kubica's house is like a traditional log house and like there is Jacques Villeneuve's head mounted above the fire place, and also soon to be Nick Heidfelds too...

Lewis is a pussycat. Not sure Irvine is tameable!
Yes Robert has the head of Villeneve and probably Nick (though if Nick could get heat into his tyres for his quli lap i reckon he'd run robert close,

I'm not sure what he's talking about, but there is a distinct difference in the way the two act in front of the camera. Lewis is more camera-friendly, whereas Kubica would rather avoid the attention (though is still respectful in that he will answer questions and let Brundle interview him). Similarly, I think that Kubica appreciates his fans but doesn't want to spend his time being revered, as it is. I don't think Lewis milks them for the worship, but I do think his attitude towards them definitely differs from Robert's. I think Robert would prefer being treated just as one of them, you know? Like going for a pint with them instead of signing their merchandise. Provided he was a drinker, of course :P

I want to thank both Denthul and Ewman for explaning my point to the LH worshipers :banghead: Unfortunately, if you couldn't understand the difference on your own that explains your infatuation with your Lord :cloud9:

Kubica and Lewis are different. Kubica wants to be a champ, period. While Hamilton wants to be a Rock Star. He wants the glitz, the interviews, blah blah blah.
Kubica is in F1 for F1  . Hamilton is in F1 for F1 and the glitz and the supercial life that he leads
