I wouldn't call the "Newburgring" a classic circuit, but it's very decent despite that pointless new first corner Tilke put in which doesn't invite any overtaking what-so-ever. I suppose Bernie will be rubbing his hands in glee at this news as he prepares to enter talks with Borat about hosting a race in Khazakstan which both believe "would be very niiiiiice".

It's not just that, I mean it isn't good for the German Grand Prix, esp when Hockenheim's organisers can't afford tohold the race year in year out. What pisses me off is how the FIA have dumped the ADAC for expressing their opinions.
Guess that means the USA won't be getting a GP anytime soon :(

"FIA's sporting authority in Germany is to be discussed at an extraordinary general meeting of the FIA in Paris in October, in the wake of ADAC's decision to withdraw from all involvement with the governing body earlier this year."

Duh!

Well we've got to put up with Mad Max for another year, and Bernie won't easily give in and in just a few years he could potentially sign up races from just about every corner in Asia and kill off the European aspect of F1.

Ecclestone dropped a pretty big hint today that Mosley will probably be staying on for longer. I don't think we'll be rid of Mosley for a long time yet.
