Crap wouldn't you know it, the one time I watch it on Speed instead of TSN(which broadcasts the ITV feed), they have Damon! :banghead:

I dont know why you dont like SPEED. I think they have great commentators.

Where does it say I don't like SPEED?
I almost always watch F1 on TSN because then I get to hear James and Martin. Although James is making me wanna go to Speed and hear Steve David and Bob. I'm just not too fond of David and Bob.
Wait, I have it! Steve could go over and replace James! Now, Steve and Martin, now that's a combo I can watch!

It will be nice if he was commentating next year along with Brundle, that would be perfect.

I thought he was kinda poor :S
Am I the only one who thought so?
There was a lot of awkward silences... And he kept forgetting names and things...

Still could have been Allen on his own :eek::eek:

I kinda know what you mean, he seemed almost shy at first but then got into it and did a pretty decent job i thought, all things considered.

I gotta apologise. Damon was ace today. The fact he applauded Massa over taking Hamilton "im glad this has happened, it will make it a better race."
He wasn't bias or anything. Can he join Martin More often? :D

I was a huge Damon fan back in the day, and to have him back involved with the sport was a breath of fresh air to be honest. Sure he made mistakes but I enjoyed it. I really hope the BBC pick him up.

It's not impossible for him to do it. I mean Martin Brundle ended up president of the BRDC for a number of years, while still doing commentary.

Yes I enjoyed listening to Damon today. So hopefully he will be on the beeb next year.
He went back on a few speeches that were quite funny.
But he has experience of racing, unlike James Allen, and more recently than Martin Brundle.
So he was good.
And anyone who is not biased towards Hammy gets points in my book.

He's got experience of winning as well, something Brundle can't really comment on (and I'm not meaning cheeky).

It's a shame, Brundle was pretty handy. Not a champion to be honest, but he put in a few good performances, in crap situations.

So with the race winning experience he could provide some interesting views. He said a couple of things (forgot now) that Brindle and Allen never say.

I really like the way Damon Hill says "Felipe Massa". It sounded like a really nice dish at a posh restaurant or something ;)

Not something i'd order, but maybe it takes your fancy ;):hehe: He called Vettel, Stefan a few times. Good Job Damon!

I couldn't agree more, when the coverage goes to BBC next year I hope they take on Brundle and ditch James Allen. James doesn't provide insightful information, nor does he sound exciting (like Muary did), so basically he's pointless.

I really enjoyed Hill on the show, the language he uses is interesting. I wouldn't say he's shy at all, he is a slightly unusual character though (a good thing).
