Also I've never heard Rosberg or Nakajima use "for sure" in any interviews. Maybe Sir Frank hates it being used? :D

For sure

And whilst I'm at it, instead they sure both love saying "this track should suit our car".

Team comments on Hungarian GP :

Nico Rosberg
"Hungary is a very different track to the ones we’ve been racing at over the past few Grand Prix. It has a similar layout to Monaco, a circuit which suited our car, and is a track which really requires a different set-up direction to that which we’ve run at the past few races, so Hungary should be a better race for us. We did a good job in qualifying there last year and we then went well in the race, so I think we can look forward to a good weekend. It’s always very hot at Budapest, which can make it really tough, but it’s never a problem for me."

Kazuki Nakajima
"I’ve never driven a Formula One car at the Hungaroring, but I raced there in GP2 last year and had a pretty good result. The circuit itself should suit our car (Pleeeeeaaase be right this time guys -7Up) , and we did a lot of work at the Jerez test last week on set-ups so we are well prepared. Budapest looks like a really cool place to visit. I obviously stayed in the city last year, but I didn’t have much of an opportunity to look around, maybe this year I’ll get out a bit more."

Sam Michael, Technical Director
"The Hungaroring is a maximum downforce circuit that requires the driver to maintain a smooth driving style throughout the course of the lap because the car is almost always laterally loaded. Concentration is therefore crucial for developing a good rhythm around the lap. As sustained high speed corner loading isn’t a problem in Hungary, Bridgestone will take the Soft and Super Soft tyre compounds to Budapest. Strategy can be quite varied, with one, two and three stop strategies all used effectively in past races. Obviously such a tight and twisty circuit demands a good qualifying performance and a strong start as it’s extremely difficult to overtake."

Somebody should make a "speak F1" phrasebook, including translations to and from "Ronspeak", it'd go nicely with our drinking game and the "for sure" counter. :D

That's completely true. Whilst I think British people understand that there is more to the world than their own country better than what a lot of Americans do, very few British people have a second language, or even some knowledge of a foreign language. It's embarrassing. In fact, a lot of British people behave disgracefully in foreign countries, thinking that shouting in English louder and getting abusive will mean the foreign person will understand what they are trying to say better.

I just think its unfair to force kids to learn a language in school.

I took Spanish from the age of 6-14, then 2 more years in high school, than 2 semesters in college....still don't know how to speak a lick of it.

That's because languages have always been taught extremely badly in the British Isles. Then, in the last decade, language courses have been made less demanding to encourage more people to take them up. However, it's completely backfired, because people weren't interested anyway and those who were interested and intelligent enough to do them decided not to because there was no longer in any challenge. Learning a foreign language is incredibly rewarding and very useful for when you go abroad. Foreign languages should be made compulsory, taught from a very young age and taught a hell of a lot better in the British Isles.

Yes I know, thats why I said that. I hate it when Brits make fun of Americans, or Americans make fun of Brits. You cant really do that because Brits and Americans act exactly the same, and there is no denying that.

...Brits and Americans act exactly the same, and there is no denying that.

I'm not so sure I'd go that far, but there are certain similarities.

We both speak the universal language very well, :wavey-finger:! lol

No, I'm afraid not. You still can't spell in the States.

I deny that strongly! :nono:

Ditto . . . brits don't wear fanny-packs lol

Oh sorry I forgot we are a step lower on the rung of evolution compared to the brat's, sorry I meant the brit's :D , my bad!

What are you lost in the '80's or just ignorant?

On the contrary: the American language made an evolutionary step ahead in simplifying the spelling compared to the old-fashioned British English. Guess which 'English' is becoming more and more popular and is displacing the other?:twisted:
