dont think Marlboro will like this

Wouldn't expect Santander to become the title sponsor. Maybe it would appear such as Vodafone did when they were with Ferrari?

Could work, but It's still a bit early to be commenting. September maybe.

Mind you Kimi was asked bout Donnington at the weekend and as usual didn't really give an answer. Maybe he won't be around to race it?

I think if Kimi wins the WDC this year he will retire & then it leaves the door open for Alonso. But if he dosen't I think he will stay another year.
I think Massa may be on shaky ground though. He needs to win the WDC to convince Ferrari why they should not consider Alonso.

With the resurgence of McLaren & BMW & the new star drivers on the grid I think Ferrari will be out to get the best possible drivers they can. And I think Alonso is that driver, even though I have a bit of a bad taste in my mouth about him.

Alonso is always the key to the F1 "silly season". I really think he should stay with Renault for at least next year when the "big reset" happens.

What Alonso should do is take a Test, reserve & development driver role in Ferrari for 09; get used to the new rules, to the team, develop a killer machine... and set the ground for a 'New era of Ferrari dominace' when Kimi says "3 is enough" :D

Another Alonso-Ferrari rumour. Wouldn't it be funny if he didn't actually move there after all this speculation. :hehe:

whenever Massa stuffs up this comes up. i cant see Ferrari getting him in 09 if they do i can only see him there in 2010

I agree. I'm not so sure he will even move next season. The rule changes will make the grid a lottery and Raikkonen seems to be suggesting he will be racing next year, hinting that he may want out the following year. Is Alonso tough enough to go against Raikkonen anyway? I'm not so sure.

Of course Alonso is tough enough to race Raikkonen in the same car. Afterall Alonso is the better driver out of the 2 overall. I don't rate Raikkonen as high as many others do. When it was suggested that he was Schumi's successor, it was almost laughable. If he was really Schumi's successor, he (Raikkonen) would of won the Monaco and British GPs in those attrocious wet conditions and destroyed the field (Just like Schumi would of done). Instead he spun, spun and spun and Lewis Hamilton showed how it was done. All Raikkonen did was take Schumi's spot when Schumi retired. Schumi bet Raikkonen in 2003 just when it came to the crunch and back then Raikkonen's McLaren was good enough to beat Ferrari. In 2005 Alonso also bet Raikkonen when it came to the wire and his Renault wasn't faster overall than McLaren. And in 2006 Alonso ws triumphet over the great Schumi as well. I would say Raikkonen won in the silly season of 2007 because of who knows, consipracies perhaps? Wouldn't be hard to go past and if he wins this year it is only because Ferrari is quicker. But then again after the testing at Hockenheim if Hamilton and McLaren keep that up (God forbid of course), Raikkonen is going to have to do more than just pray that there are no more wet races. Alonso is the best man for the job at Ferrari to confidently beat Lewis Hamilton in every condition. When at McLaren in 2007, Alonso was the better of the two, it was just that Ron Dennis favoured Hamilton and then all the scandal stuff and spying got out to its peak and out of control.

Aye, you're actually right AKR. Schumacher even said at the time that Alonso was his main threat for the future.
I dunno what happened with Mclaren and Alonso, why things broke down. I think that it may work differently at Ferrari. Alonso would probably fit in better there. None of the same sponsor commitment, no clean shaven look. Nothing wrong with the way Mclaren strive to promote themselves, I just feel Kimi and Alonso would have worked better. Namely Kimi wouldn't say anything, bitch to the papers, have his dad running around, ask p Diddy to races...
Ring a bell?

As for Massa deMuRe. Although he has improved alot this season, and is consistant. Sunday's performance doesn't exactly make him stand out from the crowd.

I think Massa's time at Ferrari is soon to close due to his inconsistency which will open the door for either Alonso or dare I say Kubica. Although we cannot dismiss Vettel as Schumi has taken him under his wing and is his greatest mentor. The silly season will be very very interesting to say the least.

yet even so inconsistent he is still currently 2nd in the drivers table. i think Kimi has made more errors than Massa lately

Well you think wrong. Massa's mistakes in the British GP easily put him ahead of Raikkonen in that contest

I did not mean to take anything away from Massa but I'm starting to get the feeling, strictly from his error's, that maybe he is not WDC material? Unless he become's more consistant on a permanent basis and can carry the team when Kimi is having one of his 'event's' his future with Ferrari may be in jeopardy?

Vettel has alot of promise, but he hasn't delivered anything solid enough.
I see him with Red Bull for at least 2 more years, before BMW reel him back.
Kubica, surely BMW will use their option for next year. They have to.
Massa - Toyota with Trulli retiring? Booting out Glock.
