I went to the inaugral A1 GP at Brands Hatch,. It was good-exciting, Nelson Piquet was racing in it then (and he wasnt bad!). There was lots of razamataz. I cud really have got into it! But there was no TV coverage and i eventually got fed up with trying to follow it through autosport race reports. Its a shame because i think if it had been given TV coverage the national aspect of it would have appealed to people who dont normally follow motor racing.

It does have TV coverage in the UK, it's on Sky Sports. :)

Not got that :(

I follow A1, i think its very exciting because they have all the young guns that have that do or die Attitude.
And we dont have GP2 in aus so i guess this sort of makes up for it.

Man those pics look like they are from Gran Turismo but I guess that's because of the bright color of the car. What driver was doing the testing?

Yeah it looks kinda weird, almost a familiar face but not  The test driver is an Italian named Andrea Bertolini

I think what Bud is saying is that A1 will grow in popularity because Ferrari will pump some effort into the publicity, in order to capture the USA's attention. Because it is Ferrari's biggest and most important market. He's not saying it will grow huge 'just because it is a Ferrari' they're driving...

And I think Bud is right. A1 will grow in popularity in the US in the next couple of yrs.
And I'm willing to bet a popsicle with anyone about it. :)

Let's just hope that A1GP catch's on? It would be a great series to run in the F1 off season that way we could all have some sort of formula car racing while we wait for the start of the new F1 season?

Just a thought.

Looks like a 90's or even a 2009 onwards car.
