But bud I never mentioned 'passion' YOU did ! Hey I know who the two best team's are and who are the two team's that make F1 what it is now. You know I may be 'a hick from the backwood's of Texas's chasing tumbleweed's down the dirt road in front of my trailer park' but I KNOW what I have read, and surveyed in my mind, and no team or team fan's are on the defensive as much as McLaren !

I'm sending Ron Dennis a belated Christmas/Happy New year card, check it out:

This is the cover:

This is the message inside:

a strong emotion for winning requires devotion and passion to getting the job done that you are required to do in order to win, thus at times head down hard working stict work ethic in order to win.

DD as a professor i would have thought you would know about this ;)

bud, bud, bud. All I'm saying is that McLaren Fan injected the term 'passion' after citing HK's comments about friendly, calm, hard working, all the while HK never even uses the word passion. And I'm also saying that those terms (friendly, calm, hard working) are NOT good descriptions of passion and I substantiate that fact by providing official definitions for passion and passionate.
Go drink a beer bud and do it passionately - maybe that'll clear up your clouded view of all things McLaren

tex are you drunk? i started the passion thing here in this thread now? look up to Darwins yet again boring diresepect towards McLaren

And you wonder why McLaren fans are defensive when they have to deal with the jibber jabber (as Mr T would say) of mindless lamb talk ;)

Darwin was using the calm atmosphere as evidence that there is no passion.

And no bud, I did no such thing! It would be good if you actually read what people post and then respond in kind rather than making up things and putting words in people's mouth.

Not as much as I wish I was, hold on I gotta beat my kid's and chase a possum out of my trailer and take another shot, because if I was I would care less about talking to a 'brick wall'!

Why should I as you say
look up to Darwins yet again boring diresepect towards McLaren
when I, as any respectful Ferrari fan, see who is being disrespectful???

that the atmosphere is calm and they're working hard. Doesn't strike me as a good description for passion.

Still don't get it?
McLaren Fan used those statements as evidence for passion, but they are not even a good description for passion.

in the literal sense but what you dont get is winning and what is required to win. the passion in that sense is different to loose out of control emotion.

and we all know your view on McLaren/ passion you always take a dig and this was just another dig at McLaren for not having passion stop being a sausage about it and just come out and admit it

Well, that's your opinion and you're entitled to your opinion, but the facts are against you - there was no dig whatsoever. I only deconstructed McLaren Fan's attempt to 'prove' that there is passion at McLaren, an attempt that was based on careless reading and/or putting words in people's (in this case HK) mouth - a tendency I might add you bud as many other McLaren followers do show quite frequently.

facts are against me? ok fact boy if you say so :roll: you just said about opinions which are based on interpretations so how can you say your interpretation is factual? just because you say so fact boy??

oh and again tiresome McLaren follower abuse there DD when will you shut up ;)

It's about time somebody spoke out against this myth. McLaren is a team full of experienced people who love their motor sport, their jobs and want to win. To do this, the team is well organised, but that does not and never did mean without passion.

breaking down McLarens work ethic is all he was doing. and you took a dig at it in your lame bottom as always attempt to suggest McLaren doesnt have passion

The facts ARE against you because there was no dig and I proved that there was none by explaining to you what I did. But you again chose not to listen or read - useless to even try to reason with you, you're unbelievably http://dictionary.reference.com/search? ... inded&r=66
