Well I hope Hamilton struggles. He almost won last year and frankly I'm glad he didn't. Apart from the fact he drives for McLaren, if he won he would of been the first F1 rookie ever to win a World Championship. Even Michael Schumacher, the GREATEST DRIVER IN F1 HISTORY who will ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST never won as a rookie. Now I wouldn't want someone else, epecially a McLaren driver who loves McLaren mind you beat this record. Now Schumi won in 1994 for the first championship. He started racing for Jordan in 1991 (Middle of the season roughly in the German GP and then the next race went to Benetton). So lets see in his 3.5th year he won his first title. So lets hope Hamilton don't win this year or the next and the one after that. That way not only is Schumi's record safe, it ensures McLaren don't win any titles for a while either which may I point out can only be a VERY GOOD THING FOR THE SPORT OF F1. Williams, BMW-Sauber, Honda, Renault pretty please with sugar on top, build competitive cars so when Ferrari has a s*** season one of you can win and not McLaren.

Lewis was absolute master of GP2, traction control was new to him last year.
This is just a very amaturish attempt at gamesmanship. Ferrari must be really worried about LH if this is the best they can do.

the gp2 car and an F1 car are two very different beasts. lewis' driving style is similar to Alonso's just less aggressive. They were both reliant on TC to stop them crashing into the sidewall but i think Lewis will cope without TC better than everyone on the grid.

I think Lewis is more aggressive if anything, on the way up his rivals in karting and the lower Formulas have pointed out his style is less smooth than some, but that he's very aggressive, always taking corners tightly and going for gaps when he sees them.

I think both McLaren drivers will be fine without traction control, the thing I'm worried about is the limitations they had on their car development for the coming season.

I wont start getting nervous until we have another driver with 5 WDC's under his belt.

Lewis is only 22(sorry-just 23). Has a five year deal with mcLaren and has already beaten Schumis rookie record

Only Michael's rookie record and that's only because Lewis was in a title winning potential car his rookie season. If anyone has a chance to get close/match or beat Michael's record or WDC's or race win's I believe it will be Lewis but that is also based on Lewis's skill to make the right decision's throughout his career. Nobody imho has the potential for greatness in F1 than Lewis but to say or even consider Michael's record's are in jeapordy at this point in time and of Lewis's career is kinda bullpoopy dont you think?

If there's one record of Schumacher's that's going to be tough to break, it's the record number of pole positions, a record that as far back as 2002 people thought would be a tough one to take away from Senna.

Race win's will also be a tough record to beat but the list of Michael's record's just goes on and on!

To be honest, that's not a fair comparison. Times have changed in that drivers are starting to race younger than ever and Hamilton was parachuted into the best car on the grid. He was doing what he should have been doing anyway. Yes, he did very well and exceeded all expectations even so, but considering the car, the team and the training he's had, should we really be that surprised? I don't think it's also unfair to suggest that if, say, Vettel or Rosberg were at McLaren last season, that they could have done similar things. For me, when you factor in the team etc. the best debut season ever has to be Senna's.

Schumacher has set some records which may never be beaten. I think the number of Grand Prix wins will stay, but it's not impossible for Hamilton to at least come close to seven titles. Face it: he's 22 or 23 so could be around for another 15 years and has shown he's hot property, so all the top teams will be looking out for him.

I've watched the replay of the incident between Schumi and Hill in the last race in the 1994 Adelaide (Big Country Town hahahaha) GP a numorous amount of time and there is no way you can prove that was delibrate when he took out Hill. Just watch over and over and you'll see where I am coming from. (It's on You Tube). I know he probally did do it on purpose but you can't prove it in this instance so that was good. Schumi deserved to be champion then over Hill anyways. Hill was a crap driver who only eventually won in 1996 because he had the best car by far.

Who was Jacques Villeneuve then and why did the title go to the wire? Did Hill have the full support of the man who had sacked him for 1997?

Hill was no Senna or Prost and is one of the most underrated drivers of all time. People who never appreciated him forget how he carried the team forward after Senna's death to the brink of another title and also that superb win in the wet at Suzuka, beating Schumacher in conditions that Schumi was so brilliant in.
