Your thoughts about the Force India motives may well be right demure but, as with any club, you're either in or you're out. Once you are in you have equal rights with all other members, and that is how it should be.

Not so: the UN Security Council's permanent members (USA, Russia, France, UK and China) have veto rights which the others don't have. Just an example of a club that works differently - maybe a model for F1?

OK then, fair point DD, not EVERY club but I think that when deciding new rules etc for F! the smaller teams should have equal rights. The big teams already have massive advantages in funding, tech expertise and drivers and I believe that the big teams should not have it all their own way. It will be to our (fans) advantage if the rules allowed the smaller teams to stay a bit closer to the big boys. Some people who are not particularly F1 fans say that, because the leaders are going to be Ferrari & McLaren its too predictable. Whilst equal rights will not suddenly make Force India a front runner, if it helps to level the playing field a bit more then that must be good for the sport.
Mind you all of this is academic really 'cos as long as MM is in charge teams, other than Ferrari, will have little influence. So its the FIA that we need to change first.
