One could read it that way yes since it follows right after your qualifying judgment of her driving skills.

I have nothing against women in motor racing if that is what you are implying. If they have the talent then go for it!

KL has just proven over the last two season that she is way out of her depth in the CC series. She is British and I would love to see her do well, but alas she has not. She is always at the very back of the field and always crashing.

Didn't I tell you he has a problem with women . You still think this is just about some angry tifosi ? You think we would bother if that's all it was ?

Uh, my interpretation or read of it is actually the more obvious. Your 'of course' would require prior knowledge of what happened to her to be interpreted the way YOU want it to sound. If one didn't know about that crash (which I admit I didn't) then your wording sounds indeed related to your judgment of her driving skills or even worse to the fact she's a woman. If your intention WAS to be ambiguous, then don't be surprised if people take issue. If your intentions were far from it, then be more careful in choosing your words.

I'd say the proof is in the pudding . Legge crashed because her rear wing broke (which has happened to many men drivers , also causing them to crash ), not because she's a woman .

Your interpretation of what I said suited how you wanted to read it

I cannot be held accountable for the way you perceive what I post. There was never meant to be any ambiguity, it was a VERY well publicized accident and one I would have thought most motorsports fans would have know about. I didn’t give it a great deal of thought, obviously you did.

If you would like to discuss Katherine Legge, maybe we should start another thread and I can tell you why I think she is not a very good driver.

It never even entered my head the possibility that he meant she crashed because she's a girl. I guess I assumed he used the "of course" as a reference to his poor opinion of her driving skill which has no relation to her gender. We did not learn until later in the thread that particular crash was a car failure.

I suggest she is a bad driver because her performances in Champ Car show that, not because she is a woman. Her dire perfomances were not the result of rear wing failures although that crash was.

And as my 'of course' was meant only as a refference to what happened and not a comment on KL's driving skills, i felt no need to explain one way or another how the crash was caused.

What have you guys got against women? slag off the racers, slag off the posters. makes me feel really unwanted

i love women, i'd surround myself with them 24/7 if I could

and if Kathy Legge had been a good driver, I would have been her no1 supporter

i also think one of the other Brit in the series - Speedy Dan Clarke to be a pretty poor performer too...i guess that means i hate men

I think that they should let liuzzi drive for them. Who knows he may just win a race for them - that would be a very special day.

many of you woul dthink that i support Vito (liuzzi) just because he's italian...
well..this is a reason :D but i also think he's a good talent, he will never become a champion, but i'd put him on the same level of DC...the DC of the first years obviously, not the DC of these times..

That surely includes his infamous crash in the pit lane entrance back at Adelaide in 1995? ;)
