I like Ant Hamilton & I admire him for all the work he put into getting Lewis into racing.
I'm not a fan of PDResta.....IMHO ...he seems a dour, whinging, second rate type, who dumped A.Hamilton, for JensonButton's management team...hoping to get the F1 seat... that eventually went to Sergio Perez....

I agree with all that. Also agree that I have great respect and admiration for what both J. button and A. Hamilton did for their sons.

The best part of all this is not having to see Di Resta's sour puss face on race weekends anymore.

He'll go and win in DTM again, whilst being a Merc F1 reserve driver; man he's so untalented.
#391221
Lol it's all relative isn't it....if we compare his driving prowess to you or me, he's talented as f*ck. But the fact that he's out of a seat in F1 simple means he's nowhere near the best, unless you consider whinging levels which he's already a multiple champion in that regard.

Untalented means without talent, big difference from the relative term little talent. Little talent means not enough talent to hack it at the top table - F1
He has one of the highest mouth to talent ratios though :wavey:

Speak for yourself fine sir!

I think his lack of any funding at all probably didn't help, yeah neither did his whinging but some of it was deserved towards FI, looking at how many times they messed him over in Quali, only for him to claw himself up the grid in the first half of the year (Before Pirelli kicked FI in the teeth)

Well his fans can start a fund to get him back into an F1 seat... I mean it's a path that's worked for another much beloved driver of late.

Hulkenburg has lack of funding, that didnt hold him back. Paul didnt prove himeself any better than the average F1 driver. Plus the fact that he is a tight fisted dour faced constant whinger wont have gone un noticed.

Evidence of his tight fistedness? He tried to get away with not paying his manager and had to settle in the end after being taken to court

I remember in one of the sky F1 shows where they follow a team member. They followed the Force India chef and he alluded to certain drivers being diva's then in the next sentence "Paul will only drink Soya milk"

Hahaha well I admit it was tough typing that part down but let's face it, we're both the same distance away from driving in F1 even if we're potential multiple world champions in the making. :hehe:

He clawed his way back the same way Perez clawed his way back in Sauber last time and look where that got him. Busted out of McLaren after 1 year. Thing is you gotta show something special, the days of Nick Heidfeld's bullet proof consistency during those 'old days' managed to make him last in F1 for donkey years but F1 doesn't escape inflation either....so lives of 'cruisers' have gotten a lot shorter.

To be fair to Perez, I don't think he did a particularly bad job at McLaren and was treated poorly by being ousted; but if you're saying that Perez is a similar driver to PDR, then the only reason he got a seat at FI and Paul didn't was due to the money.

Fair enough, we have a clear matrix in F1 for drivers who can stay, and those who leave.....I forgot which thread it's in. Regular talent, no money doesn't stay. Regular talent, money has a chance to stay. :wavey:

I wouldn't put Perez in 'regular' talent, occasional bursts maybe, like Pasta Maldonado.

I don't agree about Perez being regular either but McLaren have successfully forced him to look like one.
