I didnt recognise Alboretto, Patresi, Capelli and Ecclestone :yikes:

Jean Alesi - he was a cool driver, I still rememeber him as one of the best even though the history books and stats say otherwise :irked:

I first tried to guess the year and that would help me with names. For Boutsen, I had his name in mind but I never knew what he looked like. For Capelli, I knew it was him but couldn't remember his name. Maybe on another day I would have. For Alboretto, I again thought he should be in the picture but didn't really know his look. The rest I got.

No. I cheated.

RC also re-tweeted the pic but with all the names attached. I just copies and pasted.

:D

Cheat!!! You could have left the names off and just said how many you got!

Wow. And I thought you lot knew stuff about F1.

You earned your bragging rights, well done spotting them all. If you want to know the sage of the forum IMO it would have to be dd - I know that from the old trivia thread. Followed by WB and you I guess. We should fire that thread up again.

I had to read your post two or three times to make sure you hadn't called DD old.

I'm honestly not bragging - but I'm genuinely surprised that most people didn't immediately know every one of those in the picture - I mean, it wasn't even slightly difficult tbh... Identifiable as the 1992 season easily with the driver pairings in the picture.

EDIT - BTW, shouldn't this really be in the F1 history section?

I am sure some people on here where not born in 1992 though mate

Yes - I know that, I'm just surprised at how many didn't know. I wasn't born in 1974, but would still probably know every driver on a picture similar to this being posted. I think it's a sign of the times tbh - a lot of people now only really pay attention to the 'now'. When I started watchin F1, I was really interested in the history, where it came from, who homage should be paid to. I learned about the history of people like Ken Tyrell, Bruce McLaren, Enzo Ferrari and Colin Chapman. In the grand scheme of things, 1992 is not that long ago, and especially so given that a number of those drivers are not that far removed from the sport after moving to team or media roles.
