Formula 1 organisers are monitoring Tropical Storm Fitow that is passing through parts of Asia ahead of this weekend's Korean Grand Prix.
Weather forecasts suggest the storm is set to veer west of South Korea and into China, meaning it will miss Mokpo, where Sunday's race will be held.

While it may not hit South Korea, the storm could still cause heavy rain and strong winds to affect the region. The first Korean Grand Prix, held in 2010, was disrupted by a heavy storm.

A huge downpour soaked the circuit, causing the race to be suspended for over an hour.

The wet conditions prompted a number of appearances from the safety car, while the race, which was won by Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, finished in darkness because of the delay.

Oh heck....

I'm down with anything that makes this race more interesting.

The track is awesome but the races have proven to generally be a bore. This is probably the gp I look forward to the least. I love racing it on the xbox, but as I said, the races aren't incredibly entertaining.

The first race was quite exciting, with all the rain, but the events since have largely been nondescript. Not helped, of course, by the obvious lack of atmosphere and empty grandstands.

The country is NOT interested, get the f!ck out of there!

Hamilton fastest with a scrappy lap, doing good on long runs 1:43.3 on super-softs, most of his time is found in the middle sector.

It's because they run a map where the Renault engine runs 4 cylinders in the slow corners, creating the odd noise,

"It's been a good day," he said. "I feel like I have a bit of a better foundation this weekend. I can't remember the last time I had a really strong Friday."

Vettel said he was pretty happy and Webber wants to work on the balance, and improve the 1st sector(he has 10 place drop, so he needs to pass others)

Question:

If Webber qualifies say 5th, and gets demoted to 15th, does he get to chose his tyres then, as he is no longer in top 10. Or is he forced to keep his quali tyres on, as he qualified in top 10?

Im assuming its the former.

I'd guess the former as well.
