Strong black coffee, no sugar before a workout. Makes me feel like a V10 in the gym. :hehe:

I love espresso; but, espresso doesn't love me, as it gives me a horrible case of heartburn!
So, unless I'm out with friends and order a cappuccino, I usually stick to tea!

...Peet's is not available in Canada, so I experiment alot with beans for the press... At present I am at a loss for a good ground (no burr grinder yet)) espresso, that doesn't break the bank.

Hey, there, operaman!! I'm from T.O., too!! Just wondering if you've tried Lavazza?
We have a Gaggia, so we get the beans; but, I believe they also sell it ground!

Hey right back at you! Actually I live a couple hours north of Toronto, but sure we get Lavazza here. I've tried all 4 varieties and they are about as good as it gets at a reasonable price. I even like the decaf. I prefer Illy, but it is 4x as expensive. I will have to invest in a burr grinder soon, there is so much more choice when you can buy just the beans.

I love tea. All kinds of tea. In my cupboard currently, I have:

  • English Breakfast
  • Russian Caravan
  • Spiced Chai
  • Lapsang Souchong
  • Assam
  • Ceylon
  • Sencha
  • Oolong
  • Earl Grey
  • Gunpowder
  • Jasmine
  • Rooibos (okay, so it's not really tea...)

50% i haven't even heard of lol

I do like coffee quite a lot, too, but nowhere near as much as tea. :P

No Darjeeling?

I am certainly no aficionado on Coffee or Tea. So if you are horrified by standard tea or instant coffee drinking, look away now.

From my early teens I was a massive tea drinker, as my family were.

At the height of my tea addiction, around 4 years ago, I was drinking around 10 mugs on a working day. And I remained a solid tea drinker (and we are talking standard British run of the mill tea bag tea here) way up until a couple of years ago. At first it started with a single mug of coffee when I got up, then tea for the rest of the day. Then it progressed to coffee throughout the morning, and swap to tea in the afternoon. Now its pretty much coffee all day.

And in the last 18 months, my wife has got me addicted to costa coffee. And I struggle to drive past my local one on the way to work without stopping for a large cinnamon late every morning..... mmmm :cloud9:

(I also really enjoy a nice lemon green tea every other day or so at work.)

There are two I go to on my journey to work. Both have very friendly staff, and the fact the girls in there look so nice, especially for 7am, is an absolute wonder. And always brightens up my day! :D

I drink tea. Have tried to drink coffee many times over the years, but it always turns out that it is a bitter, horrible tasting cup of nastiness. Tea on the other hand, is pleasant.

This video sums up the complete, undeniable reality. Watch and enjoy your education:

Even if I don't drink it, I have to agree with you! When you grind your own beans, the resulting scent makes your mouth water!!
I've succumbed more times than I care to remember, with the same result!! Ah, well... choices, eh?

I'm actually in the "City Above Toronto" so, technically, an hour north of the core!!
The landscape/ski resorts just north are stupendous, lucky you!! :wavey:

Is Costa's the Brit version of Starbuck's, or more like Tim Horton's here in Canada. :coffee:

Well I've no idea what Tim Hortons is. It's just like Starbucks; only better.

Costa

Grab a coffee in the shops? No way absolute rip- off

Depends. I'm happy to spend £3 for a big coffee and a beautiful smile to start my day off.

I know I could get up 15mins earlier and make my own at home. But why bother if I can pay someone to do it for me.
