When Virgin score for the first time, will they still be Virgin?
The jokes about this team are virgin on the ridiculous.
I think this sounds good. From what I gather there may only be one or two sets(dont think its all decided yet) but they will be about 2secs a lap quicker
So the tyre will have to be saved for an all out lap in Q3(or to get through to Q2 or Q3 in the the case of the teams further down the grid). The drivers will not have been able to practse on it (excpet possibly one run on the other set in the morning). So they dont really know how it will behave. They have to get on it immediately and adapt to how it performs. YUMMY YUMMY!!!!
To add to the strategy, all drivers who qualify on the qualy tyres in the top 10 have to start on it (They would only have to use 1 of the 2 types of race tyre though aswell as the qualy tyre)
No, I think if they bring in the quali tyre, the 'starting on the tyre you qualified on' rule would be obsolete. These quali tyres only last one lap, so the drivers would be free to choose any tyre...unless they bring in some other rule.
Can you imagine them having to start the race on tyres that only last 1 lap?
Carnage and a good chance for Virgin to score for the first time
