You fools understand that if Bernie never existed, there wouldn't be a Formula 1 to watch right? Grow up you lot. No individual is perfect, Bernie's done a hell of a lot more for the sports/entertainment industry than all of us in this forum combined ever will.

The thread is not dedicated to waiting for him to die, it's a discussion about what happens when he does. Like it or lump it, he's an old man. He isn't going to be around forever.

And just because e's done a lot of good, doesn't mean he always will. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, as they say.

Also, don't call other users "fools". It's against the rules.

And please don't bother lecturing me on the rules. Correct me if I'm wrong but you're the one who's recently back from a 2 week fishing trip. You're in no position to quote rules to me alright?

Many in this thread are being fools. You condemn someone who is responsible for a significant part of our entertainment life. If he doesn't deserve to live, we don't deserve to enjoy the sport either. If I'm wrong in this, I'll wait for a moderator to contact me, not some ex fisherman.

Bernie has stated it is his wish to be replaced by a woman.. but like the article states, it isn't his choice.

As for the Indycar mention.. I personally watch both. My take is in Indycar you don't need a slide rule and a math degree (107% rule), need to check race standings days later to see what the results really were (dsq's, penalties), nor does it take 6 months to educate a newbie on the sport (KERS,etc). Both are great.. but F1 is the best motosport by far. F1 cars could race on the Indycar street circuits but forget about the ovals.

The Mods aren't there to tell us to obey the rules. We're expected to do that anyway. They only enforce them if they are broken. Your perfectly entitled to refer to the users arguments as "foolish" or whatever, but you can't call the users "fools". At any rate, it doesn't take much effort to notice most or all of those users are employing hyperbole. They're really not intending to be taken so seriously.

Oh get off it, its not like he invented televised sports. Someone else would have came along. I'm grateful for what he has done, but that doesn't mean I have to follow his every wim in his complete loss of reality over the last few years.

I use death as the comparison, because he isn't going to step down on his own. He is the gaddafi of formula 1. He is delusional and thinks he knows all the answers. He needs to leave. Death or by choice I don't really care which. He's running this sport into the ground in exchange for a bigger bank account.

You don't have to agree with his ideas or think he's some sort of genius, but jeez give the guy some respect as a human being! How'd you like it if someone was simply waiting for you to die and publicized it?
