hopefully a vast improvment than F1 2010.
No excuses Codies for F1 2011. NO MORE BUGS PLEASE!!!!

Better AI, career mode, safety car, realistic rules, no pitstop bugs, no AI time/speed bugs with latest models and data should make this the best F1 game to date.

Not a lot to ask for. :D

Helmet design!!

That would be awesome!

It needs to be done, we need to see teams sponsors on the helmet too!

That's more complicated. It's a rights issue.

I'd quite like to see them release the game on more platforms too. A 3DS version would be super cool.

They are doing that I think...I know they are releasing it on PSP2! But with the helmetthing, It wouldn't it they can do it in career mode with sticker sets for the helmet, once you have completed the helmet design the logos are placed on the helmet like your team mate. It's the same. With the helmet design? they should be able to get some templates and you just design it your own way. i loved Kimis 2007 helmet, You should be able to take that if they have permission and change it!

Confirmed Platforms are: Windows PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS and the Sony NGP - note, it is not called the PSP2, and likely never will be. Sony probably don't want a "2" in the name when Nintendo's system has a "3", that's also why Xbox 2 was actually called Xbox 360 - because it competes with PlayStation 3 an 3 is one more than 2, and therefore people subconsciously think it's better. At any rate, there's a 3DS version, so I get my wish.

It's unlikely you'll be able to edit existing helmets, much less Kimi's. If you can do that, it'd probably be Anthony Davidson's (Whose helmet you could already use in F1 2010) or Karun Chandhok's they'd let you modify because they're more likely to let them. As for designing your own from scratch, it's feasible and entirely doable, however they cannot put the sponsor stickers on your helmet because the sponsors are unlikely to give them the rights.

Bloody hell it's free advertisment? :irked: But no i don't think you will be able to design your own helmet from scratch but I do think you could grab a template and change the colours etc.

Companies are protective of their brands. For all they know, you're an a**hole, or your about to pair their logo with a demonic-themed helmet

I'd quite like to see them release the game on more platforms too. A 3DS version would be super cool.

That would be an entirely different game, simpler too. Wouldn't dig it.

The iPhone F1 2009 and Wii F1 2009 games were dreadful too. Codemasters can only go all out imo, they suck at holding back or adapting to reduced/different platforms.

Well, for one thing, they're doing it. For another, they have enough staff to make more than one version without any of them suffering.

Plus, the 3DS is a mighty piece of kit.

The NGP version is probably a direct port of the PS3 version. As for the 3DS version...It could well be built from scratch.

At any rate, the NGP version won't be out until winter at the earliest. NGP isn't even out in Europe until 2012, so I doubt sales of that version will be spectacular.

The iPhone one was the most awful experience. No races, just timed laps and the way the steering worked was horrendous, impossible to control.

I would say they will port the EGO engine to give them a platform on the device for other games.

Edit: Just had a look at the 3DS specs, it will have to be from scratch alright. Far too weak for the EGO engine.
