As stated in the article above;
''Martin has revealed that staff have been pulled from the 2014 project to concentrate on hammering out the faults in the 2013 car.
This, as he admitted, is another huge gamble.
For having one bad season this year is one thing, but should Whitmarsh now find his team playing catch-up with next year’s project, it could have a significant impact on the next few years.''

As races passing by, without any major improvement, it proves how stupid and wrong was the decision to not just improve the mp4-27 car. It's like throwing away efforts, money and resources for nothing else than playing catch up with medium-pace teams.
How is that experience we can gain from running the pullrod suspention this year going to help us in 2014 since the Mp4-29 project is already being held up? Improving our perfomance race after race with upgrades isn't going to help cause the other teams are evolving too, leaving us where we started. Imo they should use this season as a ''test'' and get their attention at the next years car. It would be devastating if we'll play again catch up with the others in 2014.

Hmm it is a gamble, I can only imagine that they will be focusing on understanding what is wrong with this years car before moving onto next year... but with such a big rule change next year is there any point?

Or are they thinking, when we get the Honda engine we are going to feel the pain so we might as well not have a decent car for then

Or they can work on a great car and not bother with the current one, and when the new regulations are introduced they can tweak their majestic peice they used the whole of this season to make.
