I see Wolff is subtly changing the story now that he sees FIA may get involved again ........ Gutless.
I predict Mercedes will take a very firm line with Rosberg and ask him to not do it again or else they will give him another warning and if he does it eight more times they will issue a FINAL warning! .... Look out Rosberg

Yeah and all the nasty little trolls have crawled out of their holes and after some serious whitewashing the following is what we will be bombarded with;

Lewis was wrong in claiming Nico admitted to anything bad
Nico had a right to stick his nose inside Lewis
Lewis should have been more aware of his teammates position and jumped out the way
Lewis and his fans are over reacting
It was just a mistake by Nico
Nico will get reprimanded hard and could face harsh words or worse if he does it again.
Nico has no history of dirty acts, he deserves the benefit of doubt
Lewis and his fans just need to calm down, its just a storm in a teapot, these things happen

I read that piece earlier this morning, and it's a sensible approach.

Now is not the time for calm heads though. Let misplaced passion and irrational anger rule.

This is the time for psychopathics from dr roth from sagiland

It's incredible.

I see comments from other sites with people along the lines of;

- Hamilton deserved it since he ignored team orders in Hungary
- Rosberg shows Hamilton he's not ready to back off, so its all square now
- Hamilton is a whining prat, he should shut his mouth

And the kicker:
- Rosberg should be made No.1 driver since Riccardo is now too close to Hamilton.

I want the FIA to get involved and penalise Rosberg. I'm amazed that the stewards didn't do anything during the race. A disqualification from the race should suffice, along with a 10 spot penalty for the next race.

At the end of the day I still favour Rosberg over the 2 drivers. But for Rosberg to go on unpenalised would be a farce. That picture alone is incriminating; I wonder if there is an online video available?

Surely the FIA have powers to investigate an incident post-race that has gone unpunished by the stewards.

My thinking too, i cant see merc being able to do much about it themselves and if left unchecked by the fia would set a dangerous precedent. Will he just get away with sticking his nose where it doesnt belong every time he finds himself behind lewis?

They can only if new evidence comes to light, which it has due to Lewis telling the press Nico admitted 'not avoiding the crash' - there is a regulation covering causing avoidable accidents'

So he should get the post race equivalent of a drive thru - grid drop. If however its deemed as something parallel to the MS tactic - i.e it was done expecting an outcome that would be advantageaous in the title chase - then a DQ could be applied

But like I voted in the poll - NFA - no fricken action will happen - NOTHING AT ALL

There is a video showing that the picture is out of context. Rosberg appears to be performing a steering correction and is not deliberately driving into Hamilton. However he is still at fault in the incident, costing another driver's race and severely impacting his main rival's championship propositions, whilst enhancing his own. That out of all incidents should cop the biggest punishment - compare that with Magnusson who got penalised.

It doesnt matter, Nico was never gonna make the pass, he left his nose in, many are saying this is what Senna and Lewis have done before - 'jump out the way or we crash' but Lewis has alsways got penalised when there was a crash, so that dumbarse excuse doesnt wash, when you add the implications of the title chase and Nicos admittance of not avoiding a crash to prove a point, only the bitterest of trolls give Nico the benefit of doubt

doesnt matter if it didnt look as obvious as MS style - the intent was the same

Many of these are the flip side of some Hamilton fans who are just as extreme. Them being potty doesn't automatically make you normal (and i don't mean you, just someone taking the opposite side). and vice versa. It's just a different potty. Lewis was in no way to blame, and Nico doesn't need to be hung drawn and quartered. It would be better to work in from there instead of starting out wide and getting pushed even further out as the storm heightens.

Yeah I think considering the implication for Lewis and the championship, the least the incident deserved was a thorough investigation by the stewards. It would be good to know what the stewarding hierarchy is made of these days and whether Ferrari elements haven't found their way into a position of influence again. I think Todt deserves a lot of credit for moving away from the often farcical and politically charged decisions under Mosley but things are starting to go back to the dark ages now with the punishment for Magnussen and Ferrari's blatant breach of the rules. Talk of the FIA now getting involved in the incident between Hamilton/Rosberg is a bit pointless at this juncture. They made their bed when they decided not to investigate. For Lewis, it's very important to start establishing his superiority over Rosberg on Saturdays and not let this turn into a victimization/emotional battle. You cannot cure certain drivers of gamesmanship no matter what you do and I think this is simply part of Rsoberg's DNA from competing against more talented drivers.

I ran out of prefixes for the words ' Nico'and 'Rosberg' yesterday. So I won't bore everyone with repeating them. He soundly deserved being booed off the stage. And when Nico says Lewis would be booed at Germany, he's wrong. Lewis was applauded at Germany for the racer that he is ....it was appreciated!
Nico is desperate, unsportsmanlike, can't overtake, and no longer can his dubious moves ( Monaco and Spa) be given the benefit of the doubt. He wants the championship at all costs, as Schumacher did. Contrast that to Lewis who is as hungry as ever for the championship but "will not sell his soul", wants to win the "right way". Nico has already sold his soul and if it's that important that he wins by cheating, let him have it. Everyone knows who the best driver is. It's just such a shame if that sort of behaviour goes unpunished. I wonder what Keke thinks?
